The weather is warm and the site behind our pool is a nice space to be! It is lovely to be in a space where you are the only camper! The tropical gardens provide privacy and abundant bird life. The property is safe and secluded in the rural suburb of Virginia. We are situated in the Darwin Rural area on 5 acres of bush land with tropical gardens and a saltwater swimming pool. There is a variety of bird life, lizards, frogs, and possums. You can feed our friendly butcher birds and King Fishers on the fly from our verandah or pool area. Sit with the fish pond and chat with the turtle who is very shy! We have dogs that live at the property so pets on application only. (we do have a dog cage available if required and can pet sit for a day if required ) If you are travelling with a horse, we have a stable, water trough and can activate an electric fence for a horse yard. (price on application) We have caravan sites for fully self-contained caravans and we now have a shower and toilet available. If you are travelling in a group, we can accommodate you in a large open area if your group would like to stay together. Each caravan site has its own fireplace for your use. Only 5 minutes from Palmerston, 25minutes from Darwin CBD. If you are looking for a local fishing tour we can hook you up with the locals as our neighbour runs Outback Fishing Tours. We have many fishing and crabbing locations close by on the Elizabeth River, Middle Arm or around Darwin Harbour. Need a driver for a night out in town, we can arrange that too! Local Fred's Pass Food and Craft Markets are open Saturday and Wednesday night.

Situated within walking distance of faiths lagoon and blackjungle nature reserve, Herbert hideaway is a gateway for the avid bushwalker or bird watcher, go for s stroll & enjoy the endless trails in the adjacent wilderness. Located just 13min to Humpty Doo, 12min to Coolalinga shopping centre, 35min to Darwin CBD, 75min to kakadu NP entrance, 64min to litchfield NP and 50min to corroboree billabong. Undercover parking for boats, bikes etc can be arranged with prior notice. An air conditioned bedroom is available for campers use if your van is being serviced or repaired at no extra cost ( No linen included) We are a non commercial camp ground. Green Acres is located in Bynoe, just over an hour and a half drive from Darwin in the Northern Territory. We have five spacious powered sites and plenty of non-powered sites available. We are close to boat ramps where you can access excellent fresh and salt-water fishing and crabbing. We are close to both Berry Springs and Litchfield National Park where you can find stunning waterfalls, swimming holes and wildlife to enjoy. The Sandpalms Roadhouse is a two minute drive away. They offer fuel, a cafe style menu, with special nights for a roast or a woodfired pizza, They are a licensed, family friendly establishment. There is often wildlife visiting our property so keep an eye out whilst enjoying your time at camp. Enjoy listening to the sounds of nature while sitting around your campfire. We also have a toilet and shower available for campers. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash upon arrival and under your control at all times. Due to not having an area waste removal program in Bynoe it is appreciated that you take all waste with you. With grassed shady camping and caravan areas, drive-in / drive-out caravan sites as well as comfortable air-conditioned cabins, there's accommodation for everyone. We have all the facilities you've come to expect and more: a large fully-tiled ablution block, free gas BBQs in the camp kitchen, a laundry area, and a licensed bistro. Your well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome here too! There is a Sunday Buffett Roast every Sunday in busy season and happy hour at our Bar from 4pm to 6pm.

Five minutes from the popular Berry Springs swimming hole. Litchfield park turnoff is just up the road and Dundee Beach is 45 minutes away.
