Jarravale offers free access to the miniature animal farm for Hipcampers. Jarravale has a wide range of aviary birds and farm animals for children and animal lovers to enjoy. You are welcome to help Josie with the daily running of the farm, all you have to do is ask her. We are perfectly situated if you want to explore the Mackay region and what the Pioneer Valley has to offer. Come and watch Platypus and turtles play in the billabong. No fires allowed at all, not even for cooking, except in winter. Fire pits will be provided, in winter, not individual fires allowed. We have fire pits to keep you warm on the cool winter nights as you sit around and share your travel stories. Sit back in tranquility as you watch the platypus, turtles and wild life gather in and around the billabong as the sun sets. It's a great way to finish the day. We also offer indoor accommodation for those who prefer all the mod cons. There are toilets and hot showers for campers, and access to the laundry. We have potable water hookups at most camp sites and we also offer four powered sites. You can use one of the two camp kitchens to cook your meals and use the picnic table for meals. Power is available at one of the camp kitchens to recharge your phones and appliances.

Tide Water Park

QUIET, and NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL. Our small coastal cattle property is right at the end of Gillinbin Creek Road. The beach has good 4 wheel drive access and is very quiet with secluded private camp sites. Sites are nestled in amongst native coastal vegetation that runs into tropical rain forests. The Beach is classified as a Green zone under Qld law which means fishing is excluded along the beach. You can fish at the creek mouth to the north. There is also creek access through the property but no camping there. A small boat can be launched and retrieved. Self sufficient camping only. No toilets, showers, dump points or power provided at this time. Horse yards are available if you whish to bring your horse for rides along the beach, obviously all at your own risk. Well behaved, quiet dogs are allowed, and must be kept within the campsite unless your walking them. Be respectful of others. Areas are available for group Bookings Things to do here include, beach access (walks, drives), horse riding, bird watching, Fishing, Crabbing, A small wet land walk. Or just sit back and watch the beach change with the tide. What to bring and not bring, Insect repellent or be prepared to cover up when sandflies and midges are out. Torches, Sunscreen, rubbish bags. No hunting allowed, No ATV's, side by sides, drones, guns or chainsaws. Generator usage only in the afternoon and early evening. Valley View Camping is a 10-acre property, bordered by the magical Eungella National Park. Our place makes a great base to explore the remarkable Finch Hatton Gorge and its many waterfalls, lush flora and volcanic boulders. We have two large, flat, grassed paddocks with sweeping mountain views. We offer up to six campsites, all accessible for any type of vehicle, and you choose where you want to pitch/park on arrival. Both paddocks have easy access to flushing toilets and hot showers. However, the lower paddock has our playground and undercover areas. Your own pets are welcome, we just ask you to please pick up after them. Campfires are permitted only if you have your own firepit, brazier or similar and you bring your own firewood. We welcome campers here to enjoy our stunning and peaceful corner of the world, so no loud music please and generators off between the hours of 10pm - 8am.

Ballantyne's Strawberry Farm

Nestled in the foothills of Eungella National Park, in behind Calen (Camerons Pocket), this great campsite offers you the opportunity to go swimming, fishing in the fresh water, put a tube in the creek and relax by a campfire. Oh, and there's berries!​ You will be camping right beside St Helen Creek, just a throwing distance from the Strawberry Farm which is open during the winter months (July- September). There is access to toilets and showers, but you will need to bring your own drinking water. You are welcome to have a small campfire in one of our dedicated firepits, and enjoy the starry skies at night. This campsite offers the perfect experience for the whole family. For an additional fee, you can pick strawberries from July- September. Blueberry picking is from October to January. There is lots of wildlife around from kookaburras to kangaroos. Plenty of places to swim if you wanted it to be more private. The campsite area is 2WD accessible and we can accommodate tents through to caravans, campervans and larger camping vehicles. No pets please.

A short drive down the driveway and you will be shortly greeted by the local farm animals, continue on and around the dam to your exclusive private camping area by the hut and beautiful shaded gardens where you will be greeted by the caretaker. Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature under the hut, admire the fish in the kids educational pond or try your luck for a Barra down the back in the catch and release dam as you discover the incredible wildlife that call this place home. Walk around your own private 1.4km walking track to capture Australia's amazing Wetland Wildlife or relax at one of the picnic tables throughout the track and take in the beautiful sounds. There are many tropical butterflies, goannas, possums and wildlife in their natural habit to be seen. Birdwatching is also great here with many species including Broglas, Ducks, Kite, Doves and more. Flushing toilet block on site. We are on bore water so you will need to bring your own drinking water or we can arrange this for you, see the additional options when booking. Campers can use the hut basic kitchen with fridge/kettle/electric frypan/plates/cutlery. Power available for light duties such as charging phones or laptops. In the evenings, warm your feet and enjoy toasting marshmallows by the fire. Firepit only permitted and BYO firewood or option to hire and supply wood. A great place to rest overnight or a type of base camp for those wanting to explore the Mackay and Whitsundays. Several areas available for travellers to park, which are quite secluded from one another. This 160 acre former sugarcane farm is undergoing land regeneration and repairs of the creek edges. Encouraging areas that lend themselves to water soaks. Guests are welcome to leave your camper/caravan/tent here while you explore the region, and it will be quite safe. You cannot explore or adventure on my property. People travelling with horses are welcome, the host runs a small agistment business and has some holding paddocks and watering facilities. The entry has some restrictions for longer vehicles, so please discuss this the host before booking. No toilets available, travellers must be fully self-contained and take all waste with them. Most pets are welcomed after discussions. Price is for up to 4 guests! Only 1 vehicle permitted per site, however open to discussion.
