Located between Rockhampton and Emu Park beach. 711 Thompson Point Road Nankin Our campsites are located in a rural setting with plenty of shady trees, friendly cows and mountain views close to the Fitzroy River. Relax around a campfire on a peaceful dam and listen to the kookaburras. Dip your toes into the cool water whilst sipping watching the sunset. It is 10km to the upgraded Fitzroy River/Thompson Point boat ramp and pontoon. Enjoy some excellent fishing and crabbing on the river, bird watching and bush walking up the many hills. Only 1/2 hr. drive to the beaches (Emu Park and Yeppoon), National Parks (Mt Etna Caves, Mt Archer Baga, Limestone Creek), and Rockhampton (Kershaw Gardens and Rockhampton Free Zoo). Campfires in the firepits provided on each site. (Welcomed to BYO own firepit). Pre-cut fire wood for sale on site. Pets are welcome, however the must be kept within your allocated campsite area and supervised at all time. (Dogs are not allowed to chase livestock or native animals). Quiet genset are also allowed. Definitely no boats to be backed into the dam for washing purposes. Fish cleaning and boat washing facilities at the solar bore near front entrance. Telstra mobile reception (3G & 4G). TV reception with antenna. We a setup for fully self contained camping, however there is a basic bush shower/toilet available for our campers. The dam is a pristine eco area and no soap/detergents/chemicals to used in/around it. The dam is stocked with yabbies, silver perch and bass – catch and release. Camp site caters for 2 Adults and up to 4 kids per site. Come and Take-A-Break.

There is an area to launch small boats and ideal for canoeing and kayaking in protected waters. Close to Lake Awoonga (4km drive) for fishing and all other aquatic activities along with a great barramundi stocked impoundment.There is a large undercover area with tables and chairs, flushing toilets and hot showers and designated campfire area. All campers have access to this. We also offer a commercial kitchen and BBQs for group bookings. We welcome community functions, weddings, birthday parties and youth groups. Inquiries welcome.

Agnes Water Base Camp is a dog-friendly retreat spread over 120 acres of beautiful bushland. The property offers a range of sites set within this scenic natural environment, with more sites continually being created as the regrowth is cleared. While the track around the property currently has some overhanging saplings, it's ideal for walking and exploring, unless you wish to risk scratching your vehicle. This area is a work in progress and is constantly improving. The highlight of the camp is the large, swimmable dam, perfect for a refreshing dip on a hot day. The property also boasts approximately 250 fruit trees and is home to Brahma chickens and roosters, adding to the rustic charm. There's a 3-kilometer walking trail for those who love to hike, and you'll find potable water and ample firewood available. Guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Sunsets at Agnes Water Base Camp are absolutely stunning, with panoramic views of the nearby mountain ranges. When night falls, the starry skies above are nothing short of magnificent, making it an ideal spot for witnessing astrological events reflected in the tranquil waters of the dam. This camp offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and rustic charm for your getaway.

We are pet friendly, "ONLY ONE DOG PER SITE" and must remain on leads or runs whilst on the property. Please note that animals are not permitted in any of the undercover common areas or swimming pool enclosure. We are a short 2 minute drive to the new Agnes Central shopping center, 5 minutes to Agnes Water town centre and local beaches, and a 15 minute drive to the beautiful town of 1770. Our property runs on rain water and On-tap drinking water is available in the camp kitchen. If you are looking to escape from the crowded caravan parks, you will love our piece of paradise.

From the Marina, you can depart to Lady Musgrave Island, enjoy 1 hr to full day tour on the iconic Larcs and enjoy  spectacular sunsets.The are some must-visit small businesses in the area including Rusty Pelican Fish and Chips, Pancake Creek Tours, Katrina's Bar (for sunset drinks) and Marina Cafe (for best coffee and vanilla slice).There are no facilities here, campers will need to be self contained and leave no trace. Set on 4 acres we are away from the hustle and bustle, come and enjoy the tranquility of Davlyn Gardens, listen to the abundant bird life, and watch the kangaroos feed on our lawn. If you’re a gardener you will love our many gardens. All rigs must be self contained off grid we cannot supply water as we live on acreage and water is precious, so fill up before you come to stay at our place. We have room for 3 sites overlooking our dam and gardens. Dump Point is in 1770 approximately 15 minutes away. No small children please as we have a dam, small dogs on lead only, no cats please because of our bird life. We may also be able to look after your small dog for the day if you plan a trip out to the reef or take the amphibious lark up to the lighthouse, both great days out. This property is a perfect getaway for anyone who loves nature. It is beautiful and peaceful, and the wildlife is amazing. You can even go fishing, which is awesome. Plus, there are plenty of nearby attractions to keep you busy. You have Tanum Sands, Boyne Island (a fifteen-minute drive away), Calliope River, and the historical museum just down the road. If you feel like exploring further, Gladstone city is just a twenty-minute drive away. You can go sightseeing or shopping there, but honestly, awesome Calliope has everything you need. When you're back at the property, you can have a swim and a fire at night, enjoy the wildlife, have a beer, and have a BBQ. The pub is only ten minutes away, as is the bowls club. Do whatever you want and have a good time. If you need any advice or help with anything, I'm at the top of the hill. Cheers! I'm happy to help with anything that you need. There's plenty of firewood here, so don't worry about that. If the kids want to pat the horses, I'm happy to assist. Guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided. Pets are allowed on leash.
