Our little slice of paradise is 25 acres, about 8 minutes from Yeppoon's beautiful beaches and islands, and 35 minutes from Byfield's rainforest! Situated up a sealed asphalt driveway on a hill you can see the ocean and islands in the distance to the East and Byfield Ranges to the North. With the elevation a steady Easterly breeze off the ocean most of the year it keeps the property a nice temperature, almost as if you are right on the beach. We have a range of native local wildlife roaming around, from green tree frogs to cockatoos, parrots to lizards, Goannas to wallabies. When it comes to flora there is about 15 acres of the place which has never been cleared, containing ironbark, lemon scented gums, stringybark, and wattle trees among various other shrubs. Being situated at the end of a no through road you don't need to worry about a noisy highway or road, all you will hear is nature and the environment. We allow small campfires (outside of fire-bans) but please be respectful and utilise the two firepits provided. Dogs are also allowed as long as they are kept on a lead, and are friendly to others as we also have 3 dogs in our yard. With plenty of space between sites there's no need to be worried about being jam packed in like a caravan park. That's one thing we aim to avoid. Our property is a work in progress. Having purchased it 5 years ago as a very baron and blank canvas we now have over 20 varieties of fruit trees planted over the last few years, with countless days and weeks spent landscaping, gardening and spreading topsoil for lawns. Its still far from perfect but its something we love and want to share. There is just over 1 km of smooth gravel road to our turn off, but our driveway is sealed with asphalt and moderately steep. 2WD vehicles can make it up, it just requires a little momentum. However if you are towing anything substantial you will require a 4WD. The two sites are right up the top of the hill, but still suitable for larger vans (over 20ft) and small busses - provided the towing vehicles etc. are okay with climbing the driveway.

It is 10km to the upgraded Fitzroy River/Thompson Point boat ramp and pontoon. Enjoy some excellent fishing and crabbing on the river, bird watching and bush walking up the many hills. Only 1/2 hr. drive to the beaches (Emu Park and Yeppoon), National Parks (Mt Etna Caves, Mt Archer Baga, Limestone Creek), and Rockhampton (Kershaw Gardens and Rockhampton Free Zoo). Camping is a self-sufficient affair with 2 long drop toilets. For small groups of campers we have available a hot shower and septic toilets.There is an abundance of wildlife to be seen as well as a 7km walking/bicycle track available to stretch out weary muscles. For fishing/crabbing enthusiasts it is a 15km 4 wheel drive access to Sandfly boat ramp for fishing and crabbing or 26km for a 2 wheel drive and larger boat to Ramsey's boat ramp located at The Narrows. Excellent fishing!Campfires are permitted with wood included (when restrictions aren't in place). Dogs allowed and must be on leash at all times.SPECIAL EVENTS: During the weekends only of QLD school holidays, we are open for motorbike trail rides. You need to have an MQ license and be part of a motorcycle club (we have our insurance with Motorcycling Queensland). If unsure please ask. This means things are a bit noisier on the weekends of school holidays. :)

We're just a 5-minute walk to the shop, fuel, and pub, and a 5-minute drive to popular hiking at Baga National Park. Emu Park, a beach and coastal town, is only a 10-minute drive away. We offer fire pits and firewood for sale. We also offer the following when available: - Horse riding - Yoga and Breathwork - Martial arts training - Ice baths Guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided. Pets are allowed on leash.

Mount Morgan is situated on the Dee River, 38 km south of Rockhampton, and is an old gold mining town with lots of history and two museums, a railway and a town history museum. There are plenty of lookouts to see out over the town and the mine site. The Number 7 Dam, has walking and mountain bike tracks for beginners and the more advanced. We have 6 listings available at Meyenburg B&B Glamping, 2 tent sites for campers and 6 Tents which have linen included and creature comforts. All our listings have access to toilet and amenities. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and cleaned up after. Mount Morgan was a mining town. Mining of clay in a nearby hill for the production of furnace bricks continuing until the early 1900s, the resulting man-made caves came to be known as the Fireclay Caverns, which contained large openings that measure between 4–12 metres in height from the cave floor. Dinosaur footprints (preserved as infills) were later found in nine different sections of the Caverns, lining the ceiling dated to the Early Jurassic. There is also a community swimming pool, skate park and general playground near the Dee River on Butler St. The town has three pubs, an IGA, and a small general store directly across the street from the camp site. The Grand Hotel is the oldest pub, and is still trading in town.

We are located an easy drive to Yeppoon, the beach, the lagoon and the sail club. Campfires permitted. Super close to Mount Archer and the National Park, which offer spectacular views of Rockhampton city, deep valleys, dry rainforests, fleeting glimpses of forest inhabitants and birdlife. The Park has some good bike trails and climbing spots. You will need to be self-contained with own camping toilet/shower. We have drinking water and rubbish/recycling facilities. Your pooch is more than welcome as long as it's on a leash.

Casuarina Park is a 640 acre working property situated 10.3km off the Bruce Highway in Central Queensland between Gladstone and Rockhampton. Camping is a self-sufficient affair with 2 long drop toilets. For small groups of campers we have available a hot shower and septic toilets.There is an abundance of wildlife to be seen as well as a 7km walking/bicycle track available to stretch out weary muscles. For fishing/crabbing enthusiasts it is a 15km 4 wheel drive access to Sandfly boat ramp for fishing and crabbing or 26km for a 2 wheel drive and larger boat to Ramsey's boat ramp located at The Narrows. Excellent fishing!Campfires are permitted with wood included (when restrictions aren't in place). Dogs allowed and must be on leash at all times.SPECIAL EVENTS: During the weekends only of QLD school holidays, we are open for motorbike trail rides. You need to have an MQ license and be part of a motorcycle club (we have our insurance with Motorcycling Queensland). If unsure please ask. This means things are a bit noisier on the weekends of school holidays. :)

Relax around a campfire on a peaceful dam and listen to the kookaburras. Dip your toes into the cool water whilst sipping watching the sunset. It is 10km to the upgraded Fitzroy River/Thompson Point boat ramp and pontoon. Enjoy some excellent fishing and crabbing on the river, bird watching and bush walking up the many hills. Only 1/2 hr. drive to the beaches (Emu Park and Yeppoon), National Parks (Mt Etna Caves, Mt Archer Baga, Limestone Creek), and Rockhampton (Kershaw Gardens and Rockhampton Free Zoo). Campfires in the firepits provided on each site. (Welcomed to BYO own firepit). Pre-cut fire wood for sale on site. Pets are welcome, however the must be kept within your allocated campsite area and supervised at all time. (Dogs are not allowed to chase livestock or native animals). Quiet genset are also allowed. Definitely no boats to be backed into the dam for washing purposes. Fish cleaning and boat washing facilities at the solar bore near front entrance. Telstra mobile reception (3G & 4G). TV reception with antenna. We a setup for fully self contained camping, however there is a basic bush shower/toilet available for our campers. The dam is a pristine eco area and no soap/detergents/chemicals to used in/around it. The dam is stocked with yabbies, silver perch and bass – catch and release. Camp site caters for 2 Adults and up to 4 kids per site. Come and Take-A-Break.

Our little slice of paradise is 25 acres, about 8 minutes from Yeppoon's beautiful beaches and islands, and 35 minutes from Byfield's rainforest! Situated up a sealed asphalt driveway on a hill you can see the ocean and islands in the distance to the East and Byfield Ranges to the North. With the elevation a steady Easterly breeze off the ocean most of the year it keeps the property a nice temperature, almost as if you are right on the beach. We have a range of native local wildlife roaming around, from green tree frogs to cockatoos, parrots to lizards, Goannas to wallabies. When it comes to flora there is about 15 acres of the place which has never been cleared, containing ironbark, lemon scented gums, stringybark, and wattle trees among various other shrubs. Being situated at the end of a no through road you don't need to worry about a noisy highway or road, all you will hear is nature and the environment. We allow small campfires (outside of fire-bans) but please be respectful and utilise the two firepits provided. Dogs are also allowed as long as they are kept on a lead, and are friendly to others as we also have 3 dogs in our yard. With plenty of space between sites there's no need to be worried about being jam packed in like a caravan park. That's one thing we aim to avoid. Our property is a work in progress. Having purchased it 5 years ago as a very baron and blank canvas we now have over 20 varieties of fruit trees planted over the last few years, with countless days and weeks spent landscaping, gardening and spreading topsoil for lawns. Its still far from perfect but its something we love and want to share. There is just over 1 km of smooth gravel road to our turn off, but our driveway is sealed with asphalt and moderately steep. 2WD vehicles can make it up, it just requires a little momentum. However if you are towing anything substantial you will require a 4WD. The two sites are right up the top of the hill, but still suitable for larger vans (over 20ft) and small busses - provided the towing vehicles etc. are okay with climbing the driveway.
