The property offers a range of sites set within this scenic natural environment, with more sites continually being created as the regrowth is cleared. While the track around the property currently has some overhanging saplings, it's ideal for walking and exploring, unless you wish to risk scratching your vehicle. This area is a work in progress and is constantly improving. The highlight of the camp is the large, swimmable dam, perfect for a refreshing dip on a hot day. Designated fireplaces and firewood available. All campsites except the Safe Haven are physically separated and reserved for a single group (either travelling alone or in company with others). The Safe Haven can accommodate up to 4 caravans/campers with a communal central fireplace by the water. A seasonal summer stream normally runs through the length of the property from January to May. During this time access to some of the walking trails can be restricted. All sites can be left unattended and secure by visitors for day trips to surrounding areas such as Agnes Water, Seventeen Seventy, the Boyne Valley or various National Parks located within 50klms. Set on 4 acres we are away from the hustle and bustle, come and enjoy the tranquility of Davlyn Gardens, listen to the abundant bird life, and watch the kangaroos feed on our lawn. If you’re a gardener you will love our many gardens. All rigs must be self contained off grid we cannot supply water as we live on acreage and water is precious, so fill up before you come to stay at our place. We have room for 3 sites overlooking our dam and gardens. Dump Point is in 1770 approximately 15 minutes away. No small children please as we have a dam, small dogs on lead only, no cats please because of our bird life. We may also be able to look after your small dog for the day if you plan a trip out to the reef or take the amphibious lark up to the lighthouse, both great days out. Plus, there are plenty of nearby attractions to keep you busy. You have Tanum Sands, Boyne Island (a fifteen-minute drive away), Calliope River, and the historical museum just down the road. If you feel like exploring further, Gladstone city is just a twenty-minute drive away. You can go sightseeing or shopping there, but honestly, awesome Calliope has everything you need. When you're back at the property, you can have a swim and a fire at night, enjoy the wildlife, have a beer, and have a BBQ. The pub is only ten minutes away, as is the bowls club. Do whatever you want and have a good time. If you need any advice or help with anything, I'm at the top of the hill. Cheers! I'm happy to help with anything that you need. There's plenty of firewood here, so don't worry about that. If the kids want to pat the horses, I'm happy to assist. Casuarina Park is a 640 acre working property situated 10.3km off the Bruce Highway in Central Queensland between Gladstone and Rockhampton. Camping is a self-sufficient affair with 2 long drop toilets. For small groups of campers we have available a hot shower and septic toilets.There is an abundance of wildlife to be seen as well as a 7km walking/bicycle track available to stretch out weary muscles. For fishing/crabbing enthusiasts it is a 15km 4 wheel drive access to Sandfly boat ramp for fishing and crabbing or 26km for a 2 wheel drive and larger boat to Ramsey's boat ramp located at The Narrows. Excellent fishing!Campfires are permitted with wood included (when restrictions aren't in place). Dogs allowed and must be on leash at all times.SPECIAL EVENTS: During the weekends only of QLD school holidays, we are open for motorbike trail rides. You need to have an MQ license and be part of a motorcycle club (we have our insurance with Motorcycling Queensland). If unsure please ask. This means things are a bit noisier on the weekends of school holidays. :)
