They both love a good scratch and cuddles and plenty of human company. Our 3 mini goats Huckleberry, Dudley and Elfie are cheeky little chappies and what they lack in size, they make up for in character. They all like a good head scratch and pat Wildlife Encounters: We also share our 100 acre hobby farm with an array of Tasmanian native wildlife including wallabies, pademelons, possums, echidnas, bandicoots, wombats, quolls and even Tassie Devils. Wedge tail eagles and hawks soar the dams, native hens (turbo chooks!) rush around the paddocks and if you are lucky you may spot a tawny frogmouth sitting on the fence watching for his prey at night. Nature enthusiasts and photographers will find plenty of opportunities to observe and capture the unique flora and fauna of Tasmania.

Our property is situated on the edge of Maydena, surrounded by nature at its best. Ideally located for the mountain bike adventurer, with the world renowned Maydena Bike Park right on our doorstep. We are also surrounded by both Mt Field and South West National Parks as well as the Styx and Florentine valleys, home to some of Australia's tallest trees. Enjoy any number of activities including bushwalking, trout fishing, kayaking or simply just taking in the stunning views. We are offering self contained caravan accommodation as well as a private camp site for up to 2 vehicles. Campers must have their own amenities if staying at the campground, as there is no shower or toilet facilities. Nearest toilet and dump station is 1km away in the Maydena township. There are only basic supplies to be had at the post office, open Mon to Fri, so get all major supplies before arrival. There is a cafe and restaurant option as well. We are pet friendly however all pets must be kept under control to keep the wildlife safe. Campfires are permitted in our allocated fireplace except on days of total fire ban. Firewood is supplied. Come and relax after your day of adventuring and enjoy the tranquillity of this ideal location.

We are approximately 4km from the shops at Ellendale with stunning views of Mt Field East. Our property contains two camping grounds next to a healthy creek, all with plenty of space and privacy, and an orchard where seasonal fruits (Late Summer/Autumn only) can be handpicked. We are listing our property as 4WD only if you wish to take your vehicle directly into the camping areas. 2WD vehicles can be parked in a safe area just after the entrance to make your way on foot to camping spots. The town has a children's park which contains play equipment, exercise equipment and a BBQ facility and public toilets. The shops provide basic essentials and a post office. A supermarket is situated in the nearby town of Ouse approximately 20 minutes drive from our property. Nothing is provided, so please be self-sufficient before arriving and leave no trace. The Woodlander and Back Paddock Campsites are Private Campsites located @ thelittlegardenfarm. Private campsites (approx 400m away from each other) all to yourselves within a short drive to many Bruny Island attractions. The Little Garden Farm is our new 100-acre forest and pasture farm that we will begin improving over the next 18 months. The property is located at the base of Bruny's Isthmus, enjoying cool sea breezes in summer and mild temperatures in winter. The Woodlander Campsite is set in our bottom forest paddock, next to a dam, with a seasonal winter creek. It is private and peaceful, with no other campers, houses, or nearby neighbours. We welcome travellers, with up to two vehicles, who are here to enjoy the peace and quiet (no parties please). The campsite has its own separate access, site toilet, solid picnic table and chairs, firepit and and is approximately 600 meters from where we live. Next to 70 acres of forest the location is great for birdlife, with many of Tassie's endemics around, and other wildlife abundant after dark. We are always happy to help with birding or wildlife tips! Based approx 5 minutes from Alonnah and 10 minutes from Adventure Bay, the "Woodlander" is central to so much of what Bruny Island has to offer.

Conveniently located between Launceston and Devonport, Buckbill Banks Camping offers a beautiful, level camping area overlooking Quamby Brook Creek. The 35-acre property offers views of Quamby Bluff, and various options to explore and relax. Find yourself a nice quiet spot, where you can enjoy peace and quiet. Although we take several bookings at once, you are guaranteed a secluded nook, there is plenty of space. There is a wood fired hot tub beside the creek, which all campers have access to. Imagine star gazing from the hot tub of an evening, or enjoying a morning soak whilst keeping your eyes peeled for the resident platypus in their natural habitat! Firewood is provided for the hot tub, you may buy wood on site for your individual campfires. The hot Tub is not for wild parties, but to relax and view the native wild life, quietly watch the platypus in their natural environment. Please note, we accept one camper trailer/caravan per booking. If you are traveling in a group with multiple caravans, you will need to book multiple sites - but will still be able to camp close together although we dont allow big noisy, disruptive groups anymore! Stooge Farm is a secluded hideaway from the rest of the world, located at the at the end of a country lane, in a protected valley surrounded by state forest. The property is partly cleared and partly forested and is situated on, and surrounded by, a bend in the Mersey River in the shadow of Tulumpanga (the Gog Range). Stooge Farm is home to abundant wildlife including wallabies, echidna, wombats and a healthy population of platypus which can often be sighted at dusk along the river. Embrace rest, swimming, canoeing, fishing, barbequeeing, bushwalking, birdwatching in the lost world of Stooge Farm Tasmania Only 20 minutes from the lovely regional town of Deloraine where you can stock up on supplies, enjoy a good coffee and the many amenities and historic streetscapes. It is a great launching place for all kinds of nature-based activities such as bushwalking, white-water rafting, rock-climbing, mountain biking and more. Cradle Mountain, the Great lake, the upper Mersey Valley, the Western Tiers and extensive World Heritage wilderness areas are all within an hour or so of Stooge Farm. Stooge Farm is located in its own peaceful valley along the Mersey River and has some of the best fishing, swimming and kayaking opportunities you could find anywhere. There are numerous campsites along the riverbanks, as well as beautiful walks along the river. Stooge Farm is a safe and secluded place away from the hustle and bustle of the mad modern world. As well as camping, it is also available to rent for a variety of purposes; as the ultimate fishing retreat, for wedding, birthday and other significant life events, as a yoga, meditation and lifestyle retreat, or simply the ultimate holiday destination. This is such a special place that you really need to come and experience it for yourself to believe it. We await your visit. *Some important notes before you book: - Campers must have their own toilet and must remove all waste and rubbish. Dogs are welcome but must be leashed at all time. - River water is available but drink at own risk. - We recommend a strong vehicle, and a 4WD when towing caravans as the road in is steep. - This is a quiet peaceful place, and to respect the wildlife and other campers we have a strictly no generators, amplified music or unnecessary noise. We will have to ask you to remove your dog if it barks. - Please exercise extreme caution with fires as we are in a high risk area. Keep your fire small and in the fireplaces provided; put your fire out if there is no one attendance. No fires during windy conditions or days or fire ban. It is your responsibility to monitor and assess local conditions and fire regulations.

There are numerous well known walks to do nearby, Meander Falls, Mother Cummings Peak and Smoko Falls to name a few. Huntsman Lake is a great favourite of fly fishermen and kayakers alike, there is also a very pleasant picnic grounds there, swimming hole and boat ramp. The village of Meander is 4 kms away offering a wonderful cafe , where the staff are friendly and the hamburgers , coffee and cakes are fantastic. As we have no facilities on our farm yet, so we ask that all campers must be fully self contained, with their own toilet , water and power.

Located in Southport, 15 minutes south of Dover, this is a great place to base yourself and explore the local region and all it has to offer. We are located within walking distance to the beach (250m), and the wharf (500m, and a great spot for fishing), and a short drive to Southport Tavern with take away shop 1.3kms (great meals). There are also plenty of good bush walks in the area - Adamsons Falls, South Cape Track, Duckhole Lake and Hastings Caves. The thermal pools are also close by! Camping here is for self-contained campers only, for those that have their own toilet. All waste is to be taken when you leave. We offer five-level grass sites with easy access. Four have power and water hook-ups and one site with it close by. There is an enclosed campers kitchen, with hot water, gas BBQ, and a wood heater. Stringybark is a quiet 80 hectare rural property in the North East of Tasmania, featuring bush, native grassland and 4 beautiful lakes. It's the perfect place to kick back and relax, enjoy the views, the abundant wildlife and refreshing swims in the lakes on the property. If you feel like going for a wander, you can spend hours exploring the bush and native grasslands on the property and if you're keen on climbing the hill you get rewarded with amazing views over the Great Western Tiers. Why not take your mountain bike up there and enjoy the downhill ride afterwards? Sunsets are spectacular at Stringybark and the skies phenomenal during clear nights. Although it feels like the end of the world, surrounded by bush and wildlife, we're only 30 minutes drive from Launceston CBD, Ben Lomond National Park and Josef Chromy's winery and only a 20 minute drive from Launceston Airport, making it a perfect base to explore Launceston and surrounds. You need to be fully self contained and there are no amenities. But there is a beautiful lake with jetty to swim in. We live on the property, just a stone's throw from the camp site, so if you ever need anything, just shout out. Dogs are permitted, however strictly on lead only to protect the wildlife and our sheep. If your dog gets very excited around wildlife or sheep, this may not be a suitable stay, since they might come right up to your camp. Please note, that Stringybark is a working property. While we'll always respect your privacy and keep noise levels to a minimum, please be aware that we do work on the land and that tools, building material and other rural property stuff can be present at any time (never on the campsite though). Please ALWAYS supervise children and pets, particularly in the following areas: -bush and grass areas where snakes can be present most of the year -around the shed where we store farm materials -around our lakes which are not fenced in We're so excited to be sharing our piece of paradise with campers from near and far and from all walks of life :)
