Whispering Gums

1 site · RV, Tent17 acres · Neerim East, VIC
Thanks to our wonderful hipcampers that leave awesome reviews & suggestions we have made some exciting new additions to our site. *Outback camp toilet at camp site * Drinking water under camp kitchen * Utensils, pasta strainer, grater, bottle opener, kettle, skillet, bbq tools * Changes to fencing so you do not have to open & shut farm gates * Newspaper, firelighters, matches Pitch your tent or camper near our picturesque dam with 3 jetties, a boat shed and walking track along dam. Throw in a line to catch a silver perch, bass or get the kids to catch some yabbies, they are great cooked up with chilli & garlic. Our property joins onto the Neerim East State Park for those walking enthusiasts or we can accommodate your horse in our yards should you want to explore the bush with many tracks directly from the property. We offer drinking water & toilet accessed from house. Neerim South is home to many wildlife and expect to see many bird species, kangaroos, deer and the odd wombat trailing through. Chris & I are campers ourselves, so we know how nice it is to have a quiet and private spot all to ourselves, however before long you have people on top of you at caravan parks or at free camping you may experience the doof doof music until god knows what hour. So we offer exclusive private campsite all to your self, we only book one group at a time. Pitch your tent or camper surrounding our picturesque dam with 3 jetties, a boat shed and walking track along dam. As you will be the only guest, the peace and quiet property feels like no one is around you as you are approximately 200 metres from the main residence but not too far to walk to the laundry with toilet for your convenience. Timesa Farm

1 site · RV, Tent64 acres · Fish Creek, VIC
Our 60+ acre property is located 4 minutes from Fish Creek in the picturesque South Gippsland region, characterised by green rolling hills. Our property is a small working farm in dairy country. The centrepiece is a small private lake. The property forms a natural bowl, so we don't have runoff from other farms entering the lake and the water is very clean. We welcome campers to pitch a tent on the shore of the lake. The best spot is a small promontory with water on three sides and shade from the blackwood trees. Enjoy swimming, paddling, birdwatching or just hanging out soaking up the surrounds. You'll have the whole spot to yourselves. If you're exploring the area, we're just five minutes to the cafes, galleries and pub at Fish Creek; 15 minutes to the glorious beaches at Sandy Point, Waratah Bay and Walkerville; and 25 mins to Wilson’s Prom gate. There’s no toilet at the campsite, so you will need to be self-contained, and take all waste with you. We don't allow dogs because if there are livestock in nearby paddocks, dogs can freak them out. If fire danger level is not High or above, you're welcome to have a campfire in the firepit provided, but please BYO firewood. Note: This is a scenic spot but the access and camping are a bit rough. To drive in you'll need a SUV or bigger (a Nissan XTrail gets in, with a bit of care). Not suitable for caravans, RVs or long-wheelbase vans, though you'd probably be OK with a small camping trailer towed behind a good 4WD. (The trickiest part of accessing the site is getting from the road onto the track leading up to our gate. There is a roadside ditch, and long or low vehicles can bottom out when trying to cross it.) For necessities, Fish Creek has a general store and pharmacy, a post office, a hardware store, a famous pub - and good coffee at a few different venues!
