We are a 20 minute drive from Lake Eppalock which is a great spot for those who love their fishing, boating and swimming. We are 10 minutes from the O'Keefe Trail which is perfect for those who like to explore by bike or by foot. There are a variety of great wineries and cellar doors nearby for you to explore, most of who sell their own local produce. Local pub and a variety of cafes are all within a 15 minutes drive. We are also close to 4WD and motorbike tracks, campers are not permitted to ride motorbikes on the property. We are in the early stage of our journey, as we build our house and set up the homestead infrastructure. The expansive Muckleford State Forest is just beyond, great for mountain biking, bush-walking and discovering old historical relics from the gold mining days. We are just 5km from Castlemaine town centre, which is an easy cycle or a 5 min drive. Staying with us, you'll enjoy a unique mix of community life and nature time. All guests are expected to join us in the main house for our communal dinner each evening at 6pm. Your camping fee includes the cost of dinner. For the remainder of your stay, you are welcome to cook and enjoy your own meals solo, as you like. You might like to spend your free time adventuring, exploring the property, swimming in the dam, or if it tickles your fancy, joining in on community activities like board-games or music jams at the main house.

We have 4 sites to offer at Sundar Goldfields Camping. Our 50 acre property features undulating bushland with views of farmlands, wetlands and distant mountains. The name is Hindu for "beautiful". Our rammed earth home sits in the middle of the property and our camping sites are located between our house and the road into the property. We are situated halfway between Maldon and Castlemaine with easy access to both these two interesting towns that attract many tourists to the region. Campers are required to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. The individual sites are called Billabong View (green signs), Wetlands View (blue signs), Mountain View (red signs) and we have recently added Gully View. It is unlikely you will hear other guests as there is a good distance between sites. The largest site is Mountain View and can accommodate the most number of guests and is well suited to caravans. Billabong view is probably not suitable during Winter (or heavy rain periods) as it is located in a dip and therefore damp if we have a lot of rain. Billabong View is closest to the road, therefore, the least private. Wetlands View has 3 different sites that all overlook the large dam and birdlife that requent the wetlands. Gully View is secluded and surrounded by bushland. It does not have water views and it's entrance is located 60m from the front gate, on the right side of our road into the property. Kangaroos and cockatoos are regular visitors to our property. Bird life is abundant and we sometimes see Echidnas and Shingleback lizards. It is a peaceful area and close to the steam train track so the train can be heard in the distance on the days that the Victorian Goldfields Railway service runs. There are great walks from the property towards the Maldon-Castlemaine rail trail. We supply firewood, if required, and camp fires are allowed at certain times of the year. Reg has great knowledge about our native animals/birds plus gold prospecting and is available to chat if you what to hear his yarns. Simply let us know and he will visit whilst you are camping. He also offers tuition on gold prospecting.

We welcome everyone who would like to get back to nature to relax whilst respecting the environment and all fellow hipcampers. THIS PROPERTY IS NOT SUITABLE FOR NOISY AND/OR DRUNKEN PARTYING!!!! Come to Kyneton in the Macedon Ranges and stay close to iconic Hanging Rock. Take under an hour to drive up and explore bountiful Bendigo, nip across to experience delightful Daylesford and meander around the wonderful wineries of the Macedon Ranges. Take a week tasting the commuter belt community before you decide to move here permanently or perhaps take a few days to visit homes for sale. Pitch your completely self-sufficient sleeping quarters on our peaceful, flat, 7 acre property which backs onto the Bald Hill Nature Reserve and is less than five minutes drive from Kyneton’s historic Piper Street which is full of delightful restaurants and cafes. There is a local taxi service if guests would like to go out for lunch or dinner with wine and/or cocktails at some of the delicious Kyneton cafes, restaurants and bars: we love Little Swallow Cafe, Home Grown, Miss M's Lounge, Dhaba, Fook Shing, Animas Distillery and Botanik Balcony at Royal George. Kangaroos often bounce through the property at dusk and dawn plus there is a beautiful dawn chorus of native birds. The Bald Hill Nature Reserve has many walking tracks and native flowers and there are plenty other outdoor activities in the local area. Campfires are allowed subject to local fire restrictions and must be fully extinguished before you turn in for the night. Please search for the CFA website 'Fire Danger Period: Can I or Can't I?' which has all of the appropriate information. A fire pit with nearby water hoses and logs to sit on is available closer to the house. This is not really suitable for cooking on but is great for toasting marshmallows! Each site has a fire pit which you can use providing it is not a total fire ban. Firewood is available at a cost to you of $50 per wheelbarrow load which will easily cover two nights. This is the main source of fuel for our home so if you burn the wood we have paid to have split on our property we’ll have to replace it to keep our family warm. We have four separate camping locations on the property; site 3 right next top the dam is limited to one large RV and/or a couple of tents but you can easily have up to four RVs on sites 1, 2 and 4. We have tried to ensure privacy for each location but you may be able to see other guests and/or the house through the many trees. Please be aware that there are two dams on the property, only one of which is fenced with livestock fencing, so children should supervised at all times. Pets are welcome but are entirely your responsibility. The kangaroos may prove quite enticing for some pets and as such we recommend dogs should be kept on their leash. We have one dog on our property and our neighbours also have dogs. Please be aware that the Kyneton Gun Club has their monthly clay target shoot on the 3rd Sunday of each month (2nd Sunday in December) from 11am until 5pm during which time you will hear them clay pigeon shooting. We are NOT a commercial campsite and, as such, you must be fully self-contained for power, water, showers, sewage, refuse disposal, etc. We only have our household wheelie bins and once they’re full then they’re full. Rubbish cannot be left on the ground next to them due to the local wildlife. THIS PROPERTY IS NOT SUITABLE FOR NOISY AND/OR DRUNKEN PARTYING!!!! Guests under the age of 25 must be accompanied by their parents.

There are about 6 paddock sites that are still within walking distance to all facilities but are nicely spread out to provide guests with there own space. Redbank is a working Farm and you will likely see or hear evidence of this during your stay, but we are very considerate of our campers and have had a wonderful experience sharing our land so far and had very happy campers. Lake Eppalock is a 25min drive where you can engage in water sport activities. The Campaspe River is 10mins away. Here at Radcliff, we have a lovely bush block with level, green open spaces, close to the town of Echuca, and just next to the Campaspe River. It's a convenient and comfortable base camp location to explore this beautiful region. You'll be only 400 meters walking distance to the town centre and 50 meters from the cycling/walking tracks. Power and town water is available. There is a fire pit, with seating. And we are dog-friendly! We do ask however that all guests be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, and kindly take all waste when you go. Please enjoy your stay.

Our 300-acre off-grid property backs onto the Barmah National Park. This forest, together with the adjoining Millewa forest, forms the largest River Red Gum forest in the world - it's majestic to explore. Our property is just 500 meters from the Murray River. From your camp, roughly a 1 kilometre walk through the forest. On our boundary is Backwater Creek, which fills with water when the Murray River is up. NOTE: Creek is often dry. It has water in it after environmental flows of the Murray. This can happen several times a year and the water lasts a few months. If you have any questions about water levels please ask before booking as it might be dry when you're here. We're located just 5kms northeast of Moama, where you can hop aboard a paddle-steamer, visit waterside wineries and soak up rich riverboat heritage. We offer a few large, beautiful, basic bush camping sites (the best kind!) in amongst 50 acres of bushland, with 100's of meters and trees between you and other potential campers. The rest of our property is used for cropping and sheep. Campers must take out what you bring in. Big Bama and No 3 - you'll need to be fully self contained. There is a dump point in Moama. Toilets can be hired from Central Hire in Echuca. They can deliver it for you. Mobile and internet is usually reliable, though with long weekends and summer school holidays the service seems to disappear! *Please feel free to book anyone in your possie that is under 18 as a child.

Our beautiful property is located on 70 acres and has 1000m of river front on the Loddon River 3km down Newbridge Maldon Road from Bridgewater. There is an IGA supermarket nearby in Inglewood, which is 11km away, and the Bridgewater pub and bakery are located 3km away. Both world-renowned feeds. The place consists of privacy, use of kayaks and safety gear, fishing rods, boat ramp, and a lovely getaway for a couple or family. We've also recently added a basketball court, beach volleyball, mini football oval and soccer goals. Lots to do! Come here to enjoy the peace, and six meters of clean clear water at your camp door if you please. Fire pits are provided and we offer firewood for sale if needed, outside of fire-ban season - No firewood is to be taken from the property unless paid for. This is a unique camp experience. All we ask is you leave the place as you found it. The stars in the night sky are second to none, we hope you enjoy your stay as much as we do. IMPORTANT: We do not offer toilet facilities, so all campers MUST be self-contained, and take all waste with them. In order to protect the fragile river system, strictly no dumping of waste or greywater on the property. Waterski boats are strictly prohibited. We require at least 12 hours notice before your stay, but if you do need a last-minute spot, please feel free to send us an enquiry and we may be able to accommodate you. Whilst pets are welcome, please inform us prior to booking if you are planning to bring pets along. We kindly ask that you keep them at your site as do not want to upset other guests with barking dogs, and wish to protect our wildlife.
