Best in Alaska: Finalist
Named one of the best Hipcamps to visit in 2024.
This property has been in my family since 1987.  My parents bought it after they retired from teaching native children in an isolated village on the Bering Sea.  I retired from my career, and came here to help my mom. After she was gone, I married my fish buddy and I stayed. Learn more about this land: Are you traveling to the Kenai Alaska area in your RV? Need an RV SPACE with FULL HOOK-UPS? Site 1 - Kenai Alaska area
Wanda was great to deal with. She met us at the highway to show us in. We were just looking for a reasonable quiet place to park trailer. Not far from highway. It was a drive to Kenai but worth the drive.

Nice site with hookups at a great price. Close to civilization to stock up on supplies in Kenai area.

It’s...in a trailer park
Kind of hate to do this review because the woman was nice but this campground is located in one of the most beautiful places in the world...and it’s literally in a trailer park. Now repeat that slowly. A trailer park. Who would make a campground in Nikiski in a trailer park? I don’t know who would be happy to camp here unless every thing else was taken. Awful experience and truly a bad idea.

FYI, the camp is in a trailer park.
We booked two nights sight unseen as there were no pictures included with the booking page. The sites themselves were clean, flat and the hookups worked perfectly. However, the camp is located at the end of a trailer park. It is also on a public road and we had frequent ATV, car, truck and even semi traffic rolling by on a regular basis. The sites go right up to the public dirt road. We ended up packing early the next morning and moving to another campground at the end of the Spur Hwy.
