CLOSE TO YOSEMITE! Explore the mines and hang out on our Groveland, California ranch! We are 35 minutes to the main gate of Yosemite National Park. A great place to stay just outside of the park. We have 824 acres on a beautiful cattle ranch with two small ponds. On our property, you'll find frogs, turtles, oak trees, pine trees and stunning views of Yosemite. We have several campsites to choose from including RV camping, tent camping, and a glamping tent. Pets are welcome. Campfires are permitted as long as there is no fire ban. Potable water and toilet are available onsite. There's a golf course less than a mile away. We are also very close to town. In just a few minutes, you can drive to our local grocery store and pizza parlour. We are a 10-minute drive to Pine Mountain Lake. Beautiful Pine Mountain Lake offers golfing, dining, horseback riding, water sports and an airport. When you come to the ranch it feels like you are hundreds of miles away from civilization, but still close to everything you need. It is incredibly peaceful! This is a great place for someone who wants to escape city life and enjoy the tranquillity of nature. Much of the ranch is open wilderness for you to explore, and it's not uncommon to see deer, frogs, turtles, quail, turkeys, or other countless species of birds. Diamond Gulch Camp is the perfect place to relax if you’re a photographer, artist, family or a group of friends looking for a place to camp near Yosemite. A small portion of the property was used as a gold mine years ago, and you may find remnants of old home sites if you go exploring. We're not far from Wards Ferry Road, Groveland, Lake Don Pedro and other interesting places.

It was a very welcoming place, lots of open fields, the sounds of the cows in the morning just gave it that extra feel of coziness. Great place to stay if you’re looking to unwind and step foot away from that city noise.

Diamond Gulch Camp
Beautiful and peaceful
The campsite was so beautiful and peaceful, and John was so kind to provide us with firewood. The outdoor showers were great and I also loved the cows nearby. Just so people aren't caught off guard like I was- there is a lot of Trump/Vance signage on the way in, including a big Trump/Vance Take America back poster at the entrance of the site. It's unclear whether it belonged to this property itself or a neighbor's. There was no signage once getting into the actual farm/site which was a huge relief, but it definitely made our entire group tense on the way in.

Site 4-Walt Mining Camp 1893
We spent 3 nights tent camping on John’s property-booked it based on previous reviews and close proximity to Yosemite. The campsite was lovely, extremely peaceful and so beautiful; especially at sunset. Our 7 yr old son loved the cows and donkeys. John was a very gracious host; always leaving extra fire wood and allowing us to roam his property pretty much wherever we wanted to go. We look forward to returning someday soon.

Best place for a winter stay
John’s land was awesome! And was about 10 degrees warmer than other campsites we checked out which was an added bonus. John stopped by at one point and was super friendly and accommodating. Only a 30 min drive to Yosemite and stopping in town for a coffee from “top of the trail” on the way in was perfect! My group will definitely come back again

Diamond Gulch Camp
Great value and bang for the buck
Great location, great price, and lots of amenities. It should be noted that there is a fairly steep dirt hill to get up to the campsite, so if coming with a trailer or small car be aware of that. I could imagine when it’s full it’s a bit crowded feeling, but that’s anywhere, right? Took us 30 mins to get to the gate for Yosemite, so a perfect location for those that want to explore the national park (we recommend doing it on motorcycles, it was magnificent to ride through that way). We will be back.
