Beautiful 8 acres on a private pond that is fully stocked with large and small mouth bass, blue gill, carp and catfish. Different spots to choose from with different privacy levels and access to power and water at some camp spots. 10 minutes to Shasta Lake, 20 mins to Whiskeytown Lake, shooting range and dirt bike trails within 20 minutes. Right off the highway (heads up, you can hear the road from camp) so it's easy to find and quick access to Redding, 7 minutes away.Pitch your tent or pull your trailer in next to the pond/lake, behind a locked gate and fence. Sit and watch big bass jump to get dragonflies, geese and ducks flying in and out and deer roaming the property. The pond/lake is over 2 acres, fully stocked with bass, trout and catfish (neighborhood legends of 5 lb bass and 40 inch catfish). Bring your rafts, kayaks and canoes to put on the water. This site is very easy to access (pull in or back in) but also wide open to be seen by the private neighborhood road (just being honest).Plenty of flat space to set up your own gazebos, games, up to 3 tents, etc. Relax to take in the scerene view, fish in the pond or quick access to the lakes, caves and trails in the area. There is a water faucet near but no electrical. If you do not have a trailer, bring a bucket for your bathroom needs. Trash can is provided.

The location was easy to find and easy to access. The pond was pretty and the frogs nice to sleep to, but the location is essentially in a country subdivision with four houses within about 100 feet of the campsite. It felt quite exposed with no foliage between the campsite and the homes for privacy. It served our need of a quick overnight spot while traveling up I-5. The host did mention there are neighbors in the listing, but guests should be prepared for how close and exposed they actually are.

The spot is amazing and peaceful the fishing was great we both caught a fish within a few minutes and the pond noise made for great sleeping. The host was great on communication.

Lovely little spot on a pond. Within site of a few neighboring houses, so not super private, but we really didn’t see anyone. Nice listening to the frogs and watching the geese and birds!

Camp site was ok, have to bring your own water hose due to how short the one there is. Owners kids walk in to your camp site a number of times and it's not the cleanest site. Was ok for the price

The campsite was not as private as we expected due to its location. However, we had a good experience overall. Maren was a gracious host, and the pond was great!
