Located on the stunning Tumut River, where cool groves of black wattle line the riverbank, offering shade, privacy, and comfort. Here you have clear Snowy River water at your doorstep. It's so fresh we drink it! Each camping site is by the river, prime position for fishing, canoeing, and swimming. Based on availability, you are welcome to choose your spot on arrival. All options are grassed and level. You will have access to a pit toilet, otherwise, please BYO facilities. Small campfires are welcome in the fire pits provided, or BYO firepit (permitting there are no restrictions in place at the time). Firewood can be purchased at the time of booking. We're pet-friendly, so you're welcome to bring your four-legged friends along! Please note, however, that we are a working farm and as such farm activities are going on, and we have resident animals, so please keep your pets under control at all times. Also, please ensure kids are supervised at all times, particularly around the river. Lifejackets are recommended. During your time here, visit the local farm gates in Tumut, Batlow, Tumbarumba, and Adelong for their delicious high-country produce. There are also some beautiful swimming spots and walks to discover in the region, as well as good facilities in town, including the local swimming pool and shopping centre. Enjoy a local brew and bite to eat at the Tumut brewery. Bahwidgee is just 3km from the Tumut town centre - so close you could ride in, or even walk.

We loved staying at Bahwidgee. The camp sites are very peaceful by the river the Wayne is a great host. We are fully self contained which worked really well at this location. We will definitely be booking again.

We loved this special part of aussie, Wayne was super helpful snd his farm and the Tumut river was idilic. If you get time the river walk in Tumut township is well worth the effort, the township should be so proud of this amazing park.

Good site right by the river and that wasn’t overly busy at this time of year. Close to town where there is everything you could possibly need. Craig provided good quality firewood. Only negative was the rumble of log trucks in the distance at all hours.

Me and my wife Just spent last weekend out on Wayne’s property was absolutely stunning river was abit high no luck with the fish but had an amazing relaxing time campsite with the river right at your feet what more could you need the owner Wayne is cool be shore to have a chat if you won’t to know about the area cheers gav & bron 🙌🏽

Awesome camp
Wayne was very friendly and welcoming. Camp sites are nicely spaced on the river’s edge. Lovely to listen to the Corellas, the platypus in front of you, and trying some fishing (Tumut running a bit fast this time of year). So close to town if you need it. Is definitely on our list to revisit!

Awesome spot on the river. 5 mins from town, but feels like you're miles away from anything. Nice fella running the property.
