Ben Hall Creek Camp
Had a lovely 1 night camp on a road trip, set up in the dark by the river but woke up to a beautiful view of the creek and giant gum trees. Dogs had a lovely time running around and having a splash.
Great instructions from the owner on how to get in and we had the whole place to ourselves which was great but there is plenty of room to share too.
Would stay again.
Fire wood was already in a pile next to the pit which was great with our late arrival.
Thanks heaps for the stay.

Second time as good as the first
This is our second visit and it was just as good as the first. We had a camp fire with the wood provided all three nights. It's a nice quiet area with loads of room. We'll come and stay again for sure.

Communication poor, never saw host
We sent an urgent message to the host at 3pm on the day of check-in as it was pouring with rain and the website listing said that the road in to the campsite was impassable in wet weather. We were told in our confirmation to only communicate via the app (this becomes important later).
We got no response so proceeded to the spot and got in, more so because we have a 4 wheel drive and an off road caravan, and a bit of luck. Rain had been torrential all day and the road in off the main road was shocking.
Finally at 10.30 pm that night I got a text from Vince saying "hope you got in alright, we have been out all day and didn't see your message'. I responded to his text, answering we were not even sure we were in the right place. There was no answer. I found this unacceptable as the host knew he had campers coming in, and everyone carries a phone. You can check messages even if you are out! The rain continued all night and a bit of reassurance from the host that we wouldn't get flooded out would have been nice.
The next morning, the weather had cleared, but absolutely no sign of a host to greet us or check in on us from the rainy night we spent worrying on getting out again. It was not until 3 days later that I found an EMAIL, giving us instuctions on how to find the campsite. It was made clear in my booking to only use the app to communicate. What happened to that rule? This was our first camping trip - a bit of support would have been nice.

Great spot for some peace & quiet
John and Margaret were lovely hosts, and we felt welcomed, safe and relaxed for the duration of our stay.
The property is not manicured, nor is the creek one that flows, but we loved it and would recommend a stay with them. We had our beloved pets with us and if you pick up after them and be respectful of livestock and other guests then pets will be welcome going forward. Plenty of wood to collect for fire and room between sites so you won't feel like your not getting privacy.
