Byron Bay hinterland campground. Self check in- just follow the instructions. Check out us on Instagram @glencairnestate We just opened a coffee trailer at the entrance of the property - serving premium Barefoot brew (local coffee roaster) coffee every morning 6am to 1 pm. Just 8 km from Byron Bay - 10 minutes drive along a scenic country road, with gentle hills around and magical views. Near all the Byron incredible activities, such as great restaurants, waterfalls, beaches. Well positioned between the beaches of Byron Bay and Brunswick Heads. Incredible privacy and quiet. There are goats (with babies) in a paddock next to Site 2, and a horse paddock with 7 horses in front of the tent only sites (7 to 10). We do have a water tap though to fill your tanks and a couple of electric plugs to charge your essentials (check the small old shed close to Site 1). We have 10 different sites, 6 for caravan / RVs/ tents and 4 for tents only (with access only with 4WD) in two different spots of the property - for a total of 20 guests max. It is a former cattle farm that is being currently reforested to the original Big Scrub rainforest. The proceeds from Hipcamp are used to reforest the land. PLEASE make sure to take your garbage away and remember the campsites are for fully contained campers only (no toilets on site). You NEED to be fully contained to stay in the property. You can enjoy walking around and explore the magic sunsets of the Byron Hinterland. there are a fee billabong/ creeks, with the biggest one next to site 7/ 10 (there is a trail from there).

Extremely well kept sites!
The campsites here were extremely well kept with flat, grassy ground and not many other people, making it quite peaceful. The tent sites further up the driveway would be good for a group if you booked a couple of the sites, and they were also well kept. The property is the perfect distance from Byron Bay to get out of the hustle and bustle of the small but popular town, whilst still being close enough for some great day trips. I'd recommend this site and will definitely come again if we're in the area.

Site 7 - tents / 4WD only
Fabulous camp ground for a couple. 10min drive so not far from Byron Bay town. We stayed at site 7 and were lucky enough that nobody else had booked the sites around us as they were significantly closer together than the photos show. Just something to keep in mind when booking :)
