At Grassyenda, you'll find flat grass camping a stones throw from great beaches, the river, and townships. It's a rural setting that makes a great basecamp from which to explore the abundance of activities available nearby. Macleay River is just a 3 minute drive from camp and Grassy Head Beach is a five minutes, so you are never far from fishing, surfing and swimming! Closer to home, you're also welcome to paddle the kayak in the property's dam. The Yarrabinni National Park is closeby, and a great option for hiking, bushwalking, scenic lookouts, and freshwater creeks. The nearest village, Stuarts Point, is just 3 minutes down the road, with larger towns and shopping 20 to 30 minutes' drive away. The property is just 14km off the M1, with good access and plenty of open space. We limit the number of bookings we take to ensure you can find a private, spacious site to yourselves. Kid friendly.A private bare-bones camping opportunity on a flat, grassy, rural landscape, just off the road - convenient access for all 2wd vehicle when dry conditions , smaller 2wd and 4wd in severe rain/ flooding conditions. Drinking water can be provided to fill canisters or bottles (not to fill your tanks). There is also a pit dunny available. You'll pick your site on arrival from within the designated camping area, with plenty of space to choose from, perfect for setting up a comfortable and private camp. 2wd access - however in sever wet weather the ground, although sandy, can become very sodden and therefore a 4WD may be needed.

Clean and spacious
Very clean open space, great distance between campsites. Beats the fully booked out caravan park by a mile. Would recommend if looking for an easy quiet camp near the beach. Toilet is cool but not private so be sure to sing loud when in use.

We had a wonderful night at Kai’s! We only stayed briefly on our way through back North. We met Kai at the gate, he was very lovely and took time to talk us through where to go on the property to the campsites. We went to the furthest site towards the fence and found stacked firewood and kindling ready for us by the fire place. The land had been mowed that morning and the land was lovely and flat for a tent. There was a simple drop toilet also though I recommend bringing your own camp toilet if there are a few more people around as the drop toilet is behind a three walled shed which may leave you a bit compromised if someone else comes along! Overall we had a wonderful time hearing the ocean while feeling like we were deep in the country. We were very lucky to have the place to ourselves. Happy Camping!

Kai’s place was beautiful and so easy to stay at. Greatly positioned to explore the local area,. We only stayed overnight but it was very comfortable camping. Fire pit and loo provided. We also loved the Dam golf and kayaks, very fun and would be great for kids.

Great experience and will return :)
Amazing stay, kai was very friendly and helpful, so much history on the site. $10 cash for a box of wood which burns for ages, toilet is hand crafted shelter which is pretty impressive. Pretty quite and isolated.. highly recommend and great experience will be returning ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
