The ultimate Farm Solitude Camping experience. If you want to get away from it all and relax in a secluded Campsite surrounded by beautiful Native Bushland or explore miles of trails, gullies, caves, Flight Springs Creek and the exquisite Bow River, take some time to camp at Hillside, which is a remote 2000 acre working cattle property situated 23km west of MERRIWA, 14 km off the Golden Highway, adjoining the Goulburn River National Park. All sites are in secluded area's far away from each other but at busy times people may pass by some sites to access the river. There are plenty of walking trails and for the enthusiastic bushwalker, the Bow River winds its way 7km down to the Goulburn River through the National Park with its gentle flowing stream and rock pools nestled between sandstone cliffs of caves with open area's. There is an abundance of wildlife. All sites are pet friendly, but pets must be kept on leash and cleaned up after. Campfires are allowed when there are no restrictions. Cut firewood is available on request. $20 lots, cash only. 4WD and High vehicles are recommended as tracks have rocky outcrops and some areas of loose sand. The Bow River area is strictly 4WD access as it is steep with loose gravel. Some sites can be accessed by 2WD. New for Hipcampers and opening in December are our Outback 4WD Tracks. Explore around 20km of tracks with something for everyone from the first timer to the very experienced driver. "Gully View Campsite" is the closest site to the property entrance. It can also be set up as a communal campground for large groups. Guests are required to be fully self-contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. *Some Campsites now have toilets. Phone Service is very limited in this area. If you email a request, it may take a few hours for us to reply. We also do Vinyl, Canvas & Leather repairs during your stay. WARNING: There are many areas of cliff edges and shear drops! Children must be supervised at all times while exploring these areas. There are also dams at or near some of the campsite areas that could be dangerous if children wander off exploring alone.

Potato Gully
A Day in the Gully
Wife and I enjoyed this peaceful setting. We were escorted to camping spot, about 10mins on a 4WD track. Dave was thorough on campground expectations and emergency procedures. This experience connects you to country through stunning Caves, wildlife and moderate exercise walks. There's also toilet facilities and firewood provided. The walks are easily accessible, signposted and blue ribbons mark the path. Bow River cave is remarkable so take a picnic lunch and explore the area. You can also loop back to Potato Gully. There are two more caves to view but we only visited one located on the slope, so take care. Saw many wombat burrows - had no idea their droppings were cubed! To top off stay, we woke up to a Kanga family not far from our tent and enough wood for a continental breakfast. Definitely promoting this place and will be visiting again.

Eagle Ridge
Excellent
Peaceful and quiet. I had this place to myself, it was beautiful with signs showing you where to go and toilet's at every campsite. A wonderful place to camp. Dave the host was great, i booked last minute and it wasn't a problem, he was there to meet me and show me to my camp ground and even had firewood for me. I will be back for sure.

Frog Rock
Adventures with family
We really enjoyed our stay at Frog Rock. Our group included our family of 4 and my parents in 2 caravans. The location was beautiful with kangaroos everywhere. The kids loved exploring the area during the day and star gazing at night. The portaloo was a welcome addition. Dave was a good host. We'd stay at Hillside again.

Riverside
October Long Weekend Family Camp
Brilliant long weekend camping down by the river at David's property. Despite being a long weekend and other campers being on the property the camps are generously spaced and we could barely see anyone else, we felt we had lots of privacy and space for the kids to play. Highly recommend the trip!

Eagles View
Sensation 360 Degree Views
What an amazing location! We were the first to use the Eagle View site and will certainly be back many more times. 360 degree views, the sunrise and sunsets and access to the entire property via 4WD. David was a great host and ensured we had everything we needed. Highly recommend.

Ironbark Camp
Amazing host and campsite
David is an amazing host, waited for us as we arrived late, took us to our campsite and checked on us the next day to see if we needed anything, he even provided fire wood for us upon request. Ironbark is an outstanding secluded campsite that, made us feel we have the whole 2000 acres for ourselves. It’s clean, well maintained and the roads are easy to drive on with an SUV. We would definitely go back as we didn’t finish the cave walk.
