Come and enjoy these river side sites with over 50 acres available to camp, bush walk and mountain bike. With over 600m of river frontage you'll be sure to find a secluded spot to swim, camp and fish. Located in the Grose Vally there are some challenging walking trails adjacent to the camp grounds. Just a 10 minute drive to Richmond, a town located beside the Hawkesbury-Nepean River, it is an interesting combination of modern outer suburbia with a significant number of important historic buildings dating from the 1810s and 1820s. Bring some loose change for a donation to Beyond Blue for kayak hire or to purchase some home grown avocados when in season. Extra vehicles can be paid for as an extra, this money is donated to Beyond Blue.

We loved it! Will definitely come again! The water and sandy bank was a real highlight. It got busy but enough room for everyone and still quiet.

A great spot to camp
Excellent spot. Very close proximity to the city but feels like being in the country & separated from all the chaos. No bathroom facility but flushing toilets are accessible everywhere. They are clean and well maintained. We didn’t have any issues during our stay. Will definitely come back.

Not private, but decent facilities
Was an easy check in, but found it too crowded. The surrounding campers were respectful and kept the noise down. Plenty of wood to collect for fire and clean flushing toilets. It’s not private as you’re only a few meters away from the next camp, but it would be great for big groups. It could be I was unfortunate to have camp on a busy non school holiday weekend. There’s a bit of horse or cow manure around. Fortunately they are dried. So to summarise Good: clean flushing toilets, river or creek near by to swim and plenty of firewood to collect. No so good: Crowded, no shower (I’m ok with no shower, but it looks like there’s some construction in the near future), cow dung ground.

Jila Campgrounds is a true gem! Surrounded by stunning natural beauty, it offers a perfect retreat for nature lovers. The campsites are clean, spacious, and well-equipped with fire pits. The restrooms were impeccably maintained, which made our stay comfortable. The peaceful atmosphere allowed us to truly unwind and enjoy the outdoors.Jila Campgrounds has it all.

Easy to relax
A great place for a quick trip out of the city. Well maintained property along a river bed. Lots of shade, easy to sit around the fire and relax.
