Visit Tathra, but stay at Kangarutha, only 2km from the edge of town, and enjoy space, privacy and tranquillity. We intentionally only have a limited number of campsites on our large property, so that you can enjoy camping in a natural setting away from the crowd. Our stunning property is comprised of open paddock areas surrounded by large areas of native forests, and we border national park. Enjoy the forest trails here on the property, which take you on a tour to our peaceful back dam. Or explore further afield - our place links to both the Tathra-Kalaru bike track and the Bournda National Park, where you can access the Tathra Mountain Bike Trail Network, as well as the secluded coves along the Kangarutha Walking Track. Our property was home to the former and well-loved businesses 'Kangarutha Nursery', and 'On the Perch Bird Park'. We have been busy re-imagining these spaces. We have drinking water, flushing accessible toilets and one hot shower a short walk from the campsites. Our property is dog friendly for well behaved dogs that don't chase wildlife or the horses on our property. No hunting dogs. Campfires permitted when there are no restrictions. You can gather your own wood, or we can prepare wood for you.

Kangarutha Bush Camp Site 1
Tom was a great host, we stayed a few nights here in June very beautiful farm with flushing toilets and hot shower. Lots to see and do nearby plenty of wildlife and great fishing spots. Thanks for having us!

Round Yard Paddock Camp
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Such a beautiful spot, differently pack the push bikes as it’s a fabulous ride straight into Tathra.. Facilities are among the cleanest I’ve ever seen, highly recommended ⭐️

Camp by the Dam
Picturesque & Private Campsite
We had a lovely & relaxing stay on Lisa & Tom’s land. The facilities are excellent & well kept. Our campsite (Camp by the Dam) was only a short walk from the facilities. We loved watching the sunset by the dam & waking up to the rabble of ducks.

Lovely private spot by the water
We had a wonderful time on Lisa & Tom's land. The facilities were excellent and our site (Camp by the Dam) was a short walk from them. The facilities were also very well kept & tidy. The campsite is private and picturesque.

Round Yard Paddock Camp
Perfect camp-site.
We really enjoyed our time at Kangarutha Farm! The Round Yard camp site was excellent! The grass was freshly mown and there was a stack of prepaid firewood waiting for us on arrival. The grounds and gardens are a lovely feature of the farm and provided a peaceful relaxing ambience. Host Tom was very friendly and took the time to come and say g'day! Toilets, shower and camp kitchen are an added bonus at this site. Minutes to Tathra. Will definitely return to this hipcamp spot.
