Karoola Station is a working family farm, lucky enough to have frontage and easy access to the Murrumbidgee River near Gundagai in NSW, halfway between Sydney and Melbourne. We are located a short 13km drive off the Hume Highway and only 45 minutes from Wagga Wagga the largest inland city in NSW. Not only is Gundagai the gateway to the Riverina but the Snowy Mountains Alpine area is within a day trip from here too, making it a great central location. We are sheep graziers, and in season, visitors can observe the newborn lambs or freshly shorn sheep. There are no amenities available, self contained camping only. Campfires permitted in designated areas when restrictions aren't in place. Good access for caravans Karoola gives you the opportunity to fish, swim, boat or kayak on the river. You can walk along the riverbank or up onto the rocky outcrop for a great view of the Murrumbidgee floodplain and surrounding farming country or perhaps you would just like to relax with a good book and drink under the huge gumtrees on the riverbank in peace and quiet.  Dogs permitted (see rules).

Karoola Riverbend
Perfect Riverbank campsite.
Beautiful spot on the Murrumbidgee River, river flat site is so extensive that even with another group on the site there was total privacy. Sheryl’s directions are excellent and very prompt to answer queries.

We enjoyed our 3 days away at Sheryl & James. Property. The sites are far enough spaced apart that we couldn’t hear any noise. Climbing the hill was amazing and seeing how vast the property is and how green. We will defiantly be going back. Hans & Sharon
