Wunglebung is a beautiful remote 1600 acre working cattle property on the upper Rocky River near Tenterfield NSW. The magnificent Rocky River and Bicentennial National Trail run through the property with National Park boundaries. There are tracks to follow and beautiful valley trails to drive and explore. There is plenty of wildlife and native flora to discover at Wunglebung. A true bush retreat, Wunglebung has areas designated for campers, vans, tents and motorhomes. 4WD access required for all sites but one. We offer bushwalking, swimming, kayaking, mountain biking and lots of big sky star gazing. No overcrowding.  No fishing.  Please note we have no mobile or internet service available.

Drovers Rest Camp
An overnight stop you won’t forget
The 40min drive might throw you off into thinking this place doesn’t exist. But I tell you, when you come out of the range and into the little oasis you will have your breath taken away. I had the whole site to myself (minus the curious cattle) barely a sound was made. The quiet trickle of the creek and the wind in the trees. Stars so clear you have to pinch yourself to remind you that it is real. Sarah and her family have done a fantastic job looking after and improving this place. The toilet and shower block blew me away with the facilities available! And at no extra cost too! Highly recommend this place, stay more then one night and do yourself a justice and really enjoy the serenity.

Casuarina Campsite
What an amazing place to visit! There are breathtaking views right next to the river. It is such a peaceful, quiet area. The campsites are nice and distanced from one another. We were greeted by a Platypus on arrival (in fact, a family of them) on day one and each afternoon. We also have a curious Possum from the tree next to the Casuarina site. Visit and sit by the campfire each night. It would come and sit right next to us. There's also a lovely hike to Sunset Hill—I highly recommend it. Not to mention the quality of the amenities. I was surprised to find such quality bathroom/shower facilities in such a remote region. They even provided gas hot water for the showers! As others have mentioned, the cattle seem to love eating hot coals, which is super weird lol. We will certainly be back!

Thank you for letting us stay at your cattle station. We absolutely loved camping by the river, walking around the property, enjoyed exploring the old stock yards and getting to know the friendly cows. We will return . Highly recommend this camping spot.

Night Watch Camp
Tranquil camp
We stayed 3 nights at The Night watch site in the tent. The site was grassy and soft like a sponge. So relaxing and peaceful there just the sounds of the creek, the birds and lovely cows. We spotted a few platypuses at the other sites, it was spectacular! We love to come back again.
