The weather is warm and the site behind our pool is a nice space to be! It is lovely to be in a space where you are the only camper! The tropical gardens provide privacy and abundant bird life. The property is safe and secluded in the rural suburb of Virginia. We are situated in the Darwin Rural area on 5 acres of bush land with tropical gardens and a saltwater swimming pool. There is a variety of bird life, lizards, frogs, and possums. You can feed our friendly butcher birds and King Fishers on the fly from our verandah or pool area. Sit with the fish pond and chat with the turtle who is very shy! We have dogs that live at the property so pets on application only. (we do have a dog cage available if required and can pet sit for a day if required ) If you are travelling with a horse, we have a stable, water trough and can activate an electric fence for a horse yard. (price on application) We have caravan sites for fully self-contained caravans and we now have a shower and toilet available. If you are travelling in a group, we can accommodate you in a large open area if your group would like to stay together. Each caravan site has its own fireplace for your use. Only 5 minutes from Palmerston, 25minutes from Darwin CBD. If you are looking for a local fishing tour we can hook you up with the locals as our neighbour runs Outback Fishing Tours. We have many fishing and crabbing locations close by on the Elizabeth River, Middle Arm or around Darwin Harbour. Need a driver for a night out in town, we can arrange that too! Local Fred's Pass Food and Craft Markets are open Saturday and Wednesday night.

Driveway overnight - small site
A great place to stay. Quiet bush land all around. Close to town and amenities. Great brand new facilities and accommodating and friendly hosts. Having use of the pool was a real treat.

Excellent site and hosts.
A perfect spot to stay , beautiful campsite, quiet yet still felt comfortable enough to have a bit of music playing while sitting around the fire. Felt very safe and Close enough to everything for seeing the sites on day trips. Jen and Tony are amazing and went out of their way to make it very easy and comfortable for our stay. Highly recommend Strangys for short or long term stay, will def be back if we are in the NT.

Great spot, felt very safe and welcome at Jennifer’s place. Our 19ft van fitted perfectly and was great to have power and water hookup. Will definitely stay here again. Hosts are amazing and friendly, toilet/shower block is a great bonus. Nice quiet location and not close to other campers.

Sarah was very helpful and it was super easy for us to find the place. It's beautiful lots of shade so cheap for the place and really handy because not far from the city. Amenities are clean pool is really lovely. It was really easy to communicate with Sarah. I recommand 100%

Fantastic property with everything you need plus! Power, water (or unpowered); pool use, secure private and beautiful. Toilet and hot shower a bonus! Thanks Jenny for your hospitality
