A rare find. Conveniently located 12 mins to Yeppoon beaches, 15 mins to the Beef Capital City, Rockhampton. This property runs cattle, horses & it has its own airfield. Sky diving on weekends. Hedlow Creek runs through the 600 acre property. Great Keppel Island just off Yeppoon, daily trips. National Parks nearby.Park your caravan or pitch your tent along the creek. This campsite is a couple of minutes walk from main complex. Toilet and shower facilities available close to the camp ground. Plenty of roomy grassy sites and views of Ironpot Mountain. Conveniently located between Rocky (20km) and Yeppoon (15km) with room for vans and trucks.

Stunning sunsets, cheeky calves
A grassy spot on a cattle paddock, offering a view of a little pointy mountain with a breathtaking sunset! I woke up in the middle of the night startled, thinking someone was shaking the van, only to discover three mischievous poddy calves using it as a scratching post.

Super easy, we were the only ones there, very quiet and peaceful. Mozzies are a bit thick being right beside the creek but manageable with the right stuff. Very curious and friendly cows, came right up for a pat!

Relaxing getaway
We loved our stay at Akubra Downs, very relaxing and quiet beside the creek. Camp sites are well placed so that you are not up close to neighboring sites. Fire pit at each campsite was a bonus. The sunsets were magnificent. Location is great as it is close enough to all of the local attractions, we enjoyed exploring the back roads, beautiful scenery so close by.
