Bridgewater is a working cattle property that borders the Dawson ranges. We are also located an hour from the Blackdown Tablelands. There is an abundance of native wildlife, and wide open skies great for stargazing at night. There is also an abundance of native trees and plenty of wood to collect for your fires at night when the season allows. Plenty of space to have privacy and relax in the bush with beautiful views of the mountains to the south and west. Located at the end of a 21km gravel council road you will be rewarded with beautiful views, sunrises, sunsets and peace and quiet in abundance apart from the wonderful wildlife that is. Pull in to a quiet bush setting, set up your fire pit for the evening and grab a drink and enjoy the birds come to life, perhaps see the wild horses, and cattle or the kangaroos, emus or brolgas go past. Enjoy a day trip to the stunning Blackdown Tablelands or simply relax in the beautiful surroundings. Bring your bikes for a ride on the dirt tracks. For safety though remember to supervise your kids at all times as we have open waterways and dams so there are some hazards. Also remember that eastern brown snakes are in this region so be snake aware. If you bring your pets they need to be on a leash at all times so that they are safe, there are sometimes Dingoes and wild pigs that wander through the property seasonally. There is some mobile phone service at the campsites but not always. We look forward to helping you enjoy your stay on our property. Guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided.

Site 3 Creekside Camp No. 3
Thank you Scott and Anita for sharing your little piece of Paradise with us. Waking up to the sounds and smells of the bush was wonderful and we enjoyed the company of the curious cattle around us. Blackdown Tableland was closer than we expected which was a bonus. So hoping you get some rain soon! We look forward to a campfire next visit. Ben and Diane.

Site 1 Creekside Camp
Loved our 2 nights at Bridgewater camp site 1. Lovely views and very relaxing. Was another van on-site but heaps of room. Anita and Scott were wonderful to chat with and their directions from highway to camp were easy to understand. Would recommend Bridgewater for an overnighter or a longer stay to leave the van and visit Blackdown for the day. Great spot.

Site 1 Creekside Camp
We loved our stay at Scott and Anita’s property. The directions were easy, we felt accommodated. It was a beautiful private spot. Lots of wildlife, and it was close enough to use as our base while we explored Blackdown Tablelands. Definitely coming back! Would highly recommend it.

Site 2 Creekside Camp No.2
Great place to self contained camp. Each campsite had so much room. Scott delivered free fireplace and wood to wherever we wanted it. Anita and Scott were so friendly and helpful. Great to have cows wandering around.
