170 acre private Park. NO UNFORTUNATELY WE DO NOT ALLOW YOU TO BRING or USE MOTORISED EQUIPMENT ON OUR PRIVATE LAKE. Somerset Dam is 40minutes away and you are able to use your own motorised equipment there. PLEASE if booking individually but you intend to join a larger group please message me on hipcamp after you have booked telling me the names of people you would like to camp with so I can allocate a space large enough to fit you all. Also please note we have 24 sites only, however some of these sites can easily fit 40 people therefore on Hipcamp it can show lots of availability when in fact that may not be the case. We are more expensive per person than other camp sites. Please note this includes hipcamp fees and charges and you are covered by hipcamp insurance. We don’t charge for pets, nor do we charge to use our 6 onsite canoes, nor do we charge extra for hot showers or rubbish removal, we have guest wifi. Our 1km private driveway is rough but if driven to conditions a 2wd has no issues.. Most of the time space is abundant however if choosing to come on a long weekend, Easter or New Years expect it to be a lot busier than your average weekend with larger groups camping together, however still plenty of space between groups. You won’t ever have to trip over your neighbours tent ropes here. Eco friendly lakefront and near to lake front sites. Please don’t arrive expecting lakefront, our sites are all near to and Depending on group size not everyone will have lake frontage. We can never guarantee requests. We assign sites based on numbers and camping equipment. Furtherest camp spot is approximately 500m from amenities block, however porta loos are located in the remote site but it’s a walk or drive back to the showers. Flushing toilets and 2 hot showers available in main area. Please note: toilet cartridges are not to be emptied into our toilets. Take it home or dispose at dump point at Woodford Showgrounds We provide unpowered Bush camping, and we try to keep the camp sites as natural as possible, no flat pads. There is lots of space for the kids to run or take the dog for a walk on the lead. If you are organising a celebration (eg wedding/birthday) please send an enquiry first so we can discuss your needs. Please note if you’re wanting a function the price is $5500 which gives you sole use of the property up to 70 campers for 2 nights. (We live onsite) please also note we abide by noise restrictions and we do not allow amplified music and noise needs to be kept to a minimum after 10pm. We will allow up to 120 people onsite cost $7500. These prices include early entry Friday from 10am and late departure Sunday by 4pm. Extra accommodation available at extra cost. There is plenty of water for swimming and kayaking. All vehicle access. Entry from 12.00pm, Early arrivals incur a fee of $5per person includes Children and providing there is space available. Please let us know if you are entering after 8am and prior to 12.00pm. Early entry from 8am is dependent on availability and not available on a Sunday. Early entry is from 8am and can be paid at reception at a rate of $5 per person inclusive of children between 2 - 16. Children are considered ages 2 - 16years Please disregard Hipcamp's 13 and above policy for adults. If you have a child aged between 2 - 16 years please book the childrens' rate. We have firepits at all campsites and adhere to any fire restrictions. We do not supply BBQ’s please bring your own. Wonderful place for family fun
We really enjoyed camping at Bushywood and will definitely be back! The grounds and facilities were great and the hosts were lovely. We really enjoyed walking around the lake, sitting around the campfire, swimming and kayaking. Wake boarding was the best!! Memories for a lifetime. Thanks, Bushy!

Great choice
I really enjoyed staying in my Jayco at ‘Bushywood’. I ended up staying for eight nights as it ticked all the boxes. The hosts are fantastic and the facilities are clean, tidy and central. It was so nice to be camped on lush grass instead of dirt. Town is handy for a top up of supplies or a meal and the campground is a good Basecamp to explore the region. Plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained at the campground itself. I am already planning my next trip there!!

Emma is a lovely host. The grounds are well kept, amentities clean and we always had lovely hot showers. The surrounding bush is lovely & the kids enjoyed canoeing up and down the lake. We were a party of 4 families, with 2 well behaved dogs & had a fabulous time. Thanks for having us Emma!

In desperate need of some TLC!
Was impressed by the reviews for this place, so booked a weekend here but was rather disappointed, sadly. Photos on here must be VERY old as the place is unkempt and falling apart. The fishing pontoon is broken and dangerous & there was litter (even disc brakes off a car) just laying around on the ground. The water skiing lake is unusable with noxious weed and the sites are all so uneven that we had to request to move as we actually couldn’t even pitch our tent in the site they gave us. (Which was an allocated site and you can’t just pick your own so unsure why we even bother paying an extra $5pp for early check in!). It is overpriced for what it is. We took out SUP expecting to be able to swim and my son took his fishing rod wanting to fish but none of these things were possible! The water was not inviting in any way and just old broken bits is stuff and rusting chairs scattered everywhere. The plus side were very warm showers (but minimal water pressure) and large sites and spaces (but also meant large groups with dogs barking and music going all night), or multiple permanent residents to contend with. We wouldn’t go back. PS - Bushy and his wife were very accommodating and can lend no complaints there.
