The camp site is in a clearing in the Eucalyptus woodland on the most rugged part of a working cattle property. The walking tracks range from easy to challenging, with spectacular views from the higher points. An abundance of wildlife live here. Birds range from Kookaburras to Bower Birds. You are sure to see wallabies and possibly hear a koala if camping in summer. Please be aware that spring is usually the driest time of the year and the most likely time for fire bans to be in place. A gas bbq with a burner will be provided for cooking and boiling water if a fire ban is in place. 30 minutes drive from Toowoomba.Pitch your tent in a secluded clearing in Eucalypt woodland, or park your small van or camper trailer in a drive-thru site. The area is only a short drive (300m) along a rocky track up from an all weather road. ( The track becomes sticky after rain for several hours. The site becomes muddy after rain) This is civilized camping! The amenities block boasts hot and cold running water, an inside bath tub and an outdoor shower. Enjoy the mountain view from the loo. Take a short stroll or a strenuous mountain hike. If you have a pushbike, there are property tracks to explore.

Peaceful and convenient 😌
My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Currugundi Ridge. The large area Catherine has cleared for camping was very neat, secluded and spacious. Having a running toilet and shower was very convenient. We will definitely book again!

Private, Has it all, that bathroom
Catherine has gone above and beyond to make you welcome and ensure you have a wonderful stay. From the welcome book, dry fire wood and various seating. There is an amazing cabin style flushing toilet with amazing bath and outdoor shower. Catherine gave us a run down of the land and her own private hike up to the Ridge for more amazing views. This camp is well equipped even a BBQ for those fire bans and jaffle iron and hotplate for over the fire cooking. Just amazing.

Catherine was an excellent host! The campground was so private and had everything we needed and more. Bathroom was very clean and more than enough firewood. Would definitely recommend to all of my friends, thank you Catherine! :)

Currugundi Ridge Bush Camping
The site was great, good level site suitable for camping, beautiful views and so quiet with the added amenities of hot shower both inside and out and inside toilet and bath(loved the outside hot shower) I enjoyed having the fire pit on the cool evenings and the wood Catherine provided The walk up the ridge was a little challenging (for an over 60) but worth the view and there were other areas a short distance to enjoy other views Thanks for creating a lovely camp Catherine

Currugundi Ridge Bush Camping
Hands down the best camping spot!
Curragundi Ridge ticks all the boxes! Having previously limited our camping to single nights (unless staying at a busy and always hectic holiday park) due to not having a shower setup, this place allowed us to extend our camping stay thanks to the on-site en-suite! Just picture yourself after a long day of adventuring (including a strenuous but worthwhile trek to the 2500’ summit of an extinct volcano followed by helping with cattle mustering and farm life) being able to sit back in a hot bath or dare to use the outdoor hot shower to wash away the day before lighting a fire in the well built fire pit just in time to watch the sun disappear over the Great Dividing Range! The lovely host, Catherine, has spared no effort and consideration into developing this private and luxurious destination for you to enjoy. While the obvious comfort is the en-suite, it’s the smaller details that make Curragundi Ridge such a treasure. The grassy pad meant no nasty sticks or roots to make their way through you floor, labeled and bagged bins for your rubbish, a separate bin stocked with kindling and spare matches as well as a large sheltered supply of local hardwood cut perfectly to size to build the essential fire, and a tap with cold rainwater made this one of the easiest camp sites to enjoy a completely serene getaway. The host was willing to be as involved or separate from your experience as you wish however I recommend spending a bit of time with her and you may just learn a lot!
