All of our camp sites are EXCLUSIVE unless you are travelling with others, you will have complete privacy and uninterrupted time during your stay at Francvillers. After years of hosting the odd group of people, friends of friends or distant acquaintances - it got us to thinking; there is a reason why they just keep coming back. We are located 25 minutes south of Cunnamulla, South West QLD. We offer seclusion, only taking three to four self-sufficient groups at a time ensuring complete privacy, no shared space. Just the real Outback. Weather permitting. Your only neighbours out here are the wildlife and our stock. The camping spot is right beside a dam/bore drain, with good access from the main road, wet weather permitting. We have an endless supply of Gidgee wood around the camp spot, its the third densest wood in the world, which makes it the ultimate firewood for campers! You can walk, bird watch, fish, swim or just sit back and soak up the country atmosphere. Pets are welcome to join you but please keep dogs on a leash as we have sheep and cattle in the paddock you’ll be camping in.

We had a lovely stay on their property, Caught some yabbies and done a bit of fishing kids loved it out there. Hubby and I had a bath and watched the sunset,

West Trunkey Camp Site
It was very windy so the next day Sarah and Ben asked if we would like to move to Lakeside Pavilion. One of the nicest Hipcamps we have stayed in over two years. The location is stunning and after spring rain was alive with so many species of birds and butterflies. We we were the only people here complete with own firepit and outdoor bathtubs fed by the dam and heated with an old school donkey firewood burner. Ben delivered fresh eggs and both he and Sarah could not have been more accommodating.

Lake Paddock Camp Site
We loved our stay by the lake! The site was completely private and peaceful knowing you had the place to yourself. The lake is visited by so many birds including a family of spoonbills and several brolgas. It was absolutely lovely to have a hot bath under the stars and having access to potable water was super handy. Sarah met us at the gate and was very helpful. I would highly recommend this spot.

Birdwatching heaven!
A beautiful, secluded, peaceful birdwatchers paradise made even more special by the bore bathtubs - somewhere to cool off on the hottest days or have a hot soak under the stars - simply heaven. Nesting budgies, woodswallows, parrots, spoonbills and many other avian visitors to the waterhole, or diverse bush bird species found within easy walking distance. Sarah is the friendliest and most welcoming host. Can’t wait to make my next (and third) visit a reality!

Great spot. Very quiet and peaceful. Would highly recommend staying to unwind and recharge for a weary traveller. Very clear directions and easy to locate
