What a treat!
Amazing spot on Amanda's property. She kindly came out and introduced herself in the arve. I was only there one night but hope to come back and stay longer! The goats across the water screamed on and off in the afternoon which initially scared my big burly sook of a dog but she got used to it after an hour. Campsite and fire are well positioned. The stars were unreal at night and it was nice to fall asleep to the sound of the water flowing. The toilet was a bonus too!

The Overseer
The original homestead (the overseer) has been lovingly restored. You can tell the owners are both creative and practical, which makes for a great combination. The hosts supplied everything required to make our stay comfortable and relaxing. We personally loved the little touches, such as the bubble bath soap for the outdoor tub & the complimentary cheese board etc. The gardens were lovely, with sweet flower fragrances greeting you as you walked from the carport to the house. The indoor fireplace & outdoor fire pit were excellent. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. Our only regret is that we didn’t get to stay for longer (though we will hopefully return in the future). Thank you so much for hosting us. Personally, as a seasoned traveller, I have to say this has been one of the best, most cozy accomodations I have ever stayed in.

Lovely! super private and peaceful
Such a great spot! Amanda was lovely and came to meet us on the first day. The location was incredibly private which we loved, truly felt like we were there by ourselves. Loved the stay and loved that the campsite had a toilet. Was goats and cows there when we arrived which was cool, but they were more scared of us so they moved on pretty quickly. No reception which was amazing, fully got to relax and check out! Overall one of the best Hipcamps we've stayed at! Will be back for sure.

This place is amazing
I had Glenelg station on my to do list for over a year and finally managed to pay a visit. I was not disappointed! Positioned on a bend of Macintyre brook with a cliff overlooking the campsite sets a beautiful scene. You definitely feel like you are the only people on earth here, only visited by the occasional curious cows. As the morning sun hits the cliff in the morning it lights up beautifully which is the perfect breakfast backdrop. At night the stars are spectacular also. The only thing that could have made this stay better was if the creek was flowing, but there was still plenty of water in the creek so really wasn't a problem. There's quite a few ant nests around the site so just have a look around before you set up and you'll be right. Amanda was amazing and communication was fantastic. This place is definitely worth a visit.
