We welcome you to our peaceful, farm retreat with our Scottish Highland Coos. We are 5 minutes out of Childers, Queensland. You will have plenty of room to yourself, there is potable water available and porta loos. We have a quirky shower facility now too made out of a horse float, this is only for guests who don't have their own shower; however, you are welcome to look. Now my new pets will have to be transported home on the back seat of my car 😂 We unfortunately have had to put our prices up a little as overheads are ridiculous. Weare flexible where you camp, so once you arrive discuss with us what you would like, privacy. full sun, near the amenities... or send me a message at anytime. Our address for your destination purposes is 106 Hatchery Rd Abington Qld 4660, however a booking is needed before arrival The Scottish folk pronounce it "Heilen Coos" so that's how we say it, I'm not spelling it wrong 🤩😆 Please remember this is our home check in is after 1pm and check out is strictly before 10.30am, we promise you will get your 'Heilen Coo' fix 😝 We have merchandise and firewood please bring cash. And if have any food scraps throw them in with the chooks or a coin donation towards food, no pressure but would be appreciated 😍 Feed times are usually at 4pm. You'll meet Kelvin the Scottish Highland Bull, Oakley who mum to Lucy Moo born 5th of February and Willow, mum to Ferdinand (Ferdi) born earlier this year on the 3rd of January, so two beautiful calves to watch doing zoomies around the yard, swimming in the dam or chilling under a tree 😁 Be mindful although they are friendly and gentle the mums can be protective, so be smart please. .Parents please supervise your children at all times, no running or screaming. We provide an exciting experience and expect you to help us keep it this way. Baz and Nige are our Nigerian dwarf goats they are such characters and sure to make you laugh. Our chickens are friendly and don't mind a cuddle. Just be sure not to squeeze, be rough or chase the small animals please. You are able to share your food scraps with the animal, but no onion, white potato or avocado. Please leave your pets at your campsite when visiting our animals; Otherwise you are able to walk them around the beautiful 25 acres with them. We have 2 dogs Jesse a blue heeler and Cane our Maremma, who are both very friendly. The Maremma dog is an Italian breed of livestock gaurdian dog he does bark a little at night if there is a fox or something around that might hurt our animals. Cane has been very successful at keeping all our pets safe. Guest's have told us they have slept through the night no troubles, in saying that sometimes he doesn't need to bark at all. If anyone thinks the barking might be an issue this probably isn't the place for you. We now have Percy the peacock 🦚 who randomly Honks and explores all parts of our block. Our Neighbours have fish farms, so you will hear the odd shot gun go off at times, just to scare the shags away from feeding in the ponds. We are very easy to get along with but excessive noise or bad behaviour will not be tolerated. Feel free to put on some music (quiet by 9 and off by 10pm) and have a few drinks by the campfire, but we want our farm to be a place where our animals and our guests feel safe and relaxed. Thanks for your understanding. Relax with a cuppa, unwind with a book or go for a short bush walk and listen to the kookaburras. All your cares will feel like they are a million miles away as you soak up nature here at our farm. Conveniently there is a dump point in at Childers at the rest area, 16 Cresent St. 6km from here. There are wonderful cafes and bakeries in Childers, an IGA and Woolworths. We are near Bingera National park, Cordalba state forest with an hour to some top snorkelling spots, also Drive passed acres of sugarcane and macadamia fields we are 45 minutes from Hervey Bay and 40 minutes the other way to Bundaburg. We love being so close to the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef. We look forward to meeting you. Duane and Chrissy

Amazing farm stay
Absolutely amazing place, the owners were amazing and friendly, clean facilities and nice camp sites. Really cute and friendly animals, they even have daily feeding times where you can hand feed the cows and sheep. Cane and Jesse were such friendly dogs, they would come and chill out in your camp sites. Very highly recommend this place

Cane's Cabin
We had a lovely time staying at Cane's Cabin. It was very comfortable, air-conditioned with blackout curtains. Although the sunrise view through the kitchen window was absolutely stunning & I had to go outside to soak it in! The toilet and shower are separate, but only a short walk away. Take a torch though, as there are some cane toads at night. The fridge, microwave & kitchen facilities were great, but you'll need to byo BBQ plate/pan/tongs/knives etc if cooking over the open fire. Basic cutlery was supplied though. The kids absolutely loved the cows & other farm animals of course! They fed sweet potatoes to the cows, although I'd recommend close supervision of younger children, especially if they're not used to being around cattle as they can be quite curious & a little pushy at food time. After feeding time, a stroll down to the dam before sunset was lovely, with some well-placed seating to take it all in. I'd also recommend taking a few bananas as some of the cows love them for a breakfast treat 😁 Overall we had an amazing experience & will definitely visit again! In the meantime, our kids are loving their Highland Cow souvenirs they brought home. Thanks so much to Chrissy & Duane for sharing their beautiful place! 🥰
