Kingsland Campsite
Amazing little getaway!
The site is beautiful with 4 set campfire spots with plenty of space between. It is first come first serve and I would argue that there are 2 amazing spots, one with a view of the mountain and the other with a view over the landscape while the other two somewhat lack the breathtaking views. We went there for the Mt Maroon climb/hike, it was amazing and a MUST do if you're staying there, ~4-6 hours depending on your fitness and determination. The host was amazing, kind, and communicated quickly. Do note that the site is 100% 4WD ONLY, or a 2WD with high ground clearance, lots of big rocks, washed out, and a steep incline where a fwd on street tires will struggle. We loved our stay, and highly recommend this for a peaceful getaway.

Extremely well set out campsite, with wonderful views of the mountain ranges. Access was possible in a 2wd station wagon with care. Helpful directions given by hosts

Great spot to have Mt Maroon adventures!
Wendy popped around to say Hello which was lovely.
Well kept camp site-4 areas and plenty of space. Compost toilet is great.
We’ll be back!

What a view! You've got the magnificent mt maroon towering over you on one side and an endless valley scen on the other. A few nice flat grassy spots to choose from and visits from wallabies and bandicoots during the evenings. Great spot to start the arduous but rewarding hike up mt maroon. Price is up there but you soon forget about it once the sun starts to set .
