Not what the photos suggest
Overall experience was negative. When I first looked at this location the photos were positive. After arriving it was clear that this wasn’t the case. The park is filled with old caravans, machinery and road traffic all night. The toilets and shower have clearly never been cleaned filled spiderwebs. Lake views were nice, but not accessible as SEQ water own land and has restricted access with yellow boundary markers.
The only positive was the camp site was flat, After the one night we left and will never return.

Photo’s lie.
I wouldn’t book Lake Atkinson Resort again.
The Amenities block was dirty, without toilet paper and nothing to wash your hands with. Shower was the same. I would not call this place a resort and the photo’s on the website do not reflect the actual camping grounds. I booked for 7 nights but stayed only one night.

The pictures advertised were way different to what was there.
There were animals however they were penned in with no access.
Toilet and shower facilities were filthy dirty.
The price charged was too exorbitant.
General upkeep of the facility was very poor.

The camping was good. Mow the lawn and get rid of the old Dongas to make it more attractive. It was great that we could have a big fire pit to sit around and make noise.

My camping experience here was great. I had the best spot and the facilities are great! It was my first time camping so I would recommend this to beginners and experienced campers! Would definitely come back again!
