We are a working farm located in Habana. 110 acres of farm land beside the beautiful Leila Creek Habana. We have a range of farm animals here on the property. Enjoy the rural views and quiet, serene surroundings. Stroll up to the dam past all the farm animals. You can also enjoy a swim in the creek or dam. Forget something? We are only 15 minuted back to town. Have a horse? Bring it as well. We are pet friendly. Enjoy your fire at night while listening to the sound of running creek at your campsite. Fireplaces and firewood available. Bring your fishing gear along as the waterhole is stocked with barramundi if you are into fishing. Currently has a weed infestation so lure fishing challenging. Septic toilet and tapped bore water available. Close to Mackay
Beautiful location on the creek, close to Mackay. The host was very accommodating and responsive. The camp site is advertised for vehicles under 10m, and our vehicle is 16m, so we checked first before booking., and the host thought we we should be able to get in. On arrival, the entry is very rough, tight, and narrow (we had 25mm clearance on each side when turning into the laneway). I would not recommend for large setups like ours, but it would be suitable for tents and campervans. The camp-site slopes down to the creek, so it was hard to get the van level. It would probably work better if the area was slashed a bit further up the bank where it levels out a little bit more. Overall, very peaceful, picturesque location and would be a great spot if you are looking for a camp site close to Mackay.

Leila Bank Camping
Beautiful spot so close to Mackay. Very serene with a flowing creek that gives a lovely relaxing sound all day and night. Very spacious so can spread out and have privacy if you wish. Darryl as host is very friendly and accomodating.

Leila Bank Camping
Camp was private, clean and serene. The host was extremely responsive and helped us out when we needed immediately, he even made our toddlers day by giving him a ride in his buggy. We did have some dramas setting up as the mowed strip was all directly under gums which are known to randomly drop branches, and further back away from the gums was slightly sloped. The dam looked spectacular and had all the things needed for a fun time (rope swings, slides, big fish etc) but couldn’t be used due to a swamp weed infestation, even though it was still advertised it was available for use. Would also have been nice if the toilet was de-spidered a bit before arrival, and the path down to the creek maintained a bit more (Ie blowing the tree fronds off), but for the price it was acceptable.
