Mount Elliot Park is a working cattle property that offers a bush experience to approved individuals. Located in the Burdekin Shire we are based in one of Australia’s best Barra fishing and bird watching areas. Sites are based on a slashed grassed paddock with access to a clear flowing creek. Campers can relax with open fire and surrounded by the beautiful mountain backdrop.

Camp 1 VMS
Perfect spot. Loads of room for the camper trailer. No neighbours. Beautiful running creek. And the stars, what a view. It was what we were after, peace and quiet and a recharge. Will be doing 2 nights next time. Very convenient from Townsville. “Loved it “ would be an understatement.

Close to Home
Well marked, large grassed areas. Minimal to nil established shade on camp Site. Good distance between sites with some natural privacy. Site 1 had established track down to stream- deep enough to get wet & cool down, shady, clean & cool.

Camp 4 Bob's Hole
Getting back to nature - so good.
Stayed for two nights at Bob's Hole with my two dogs. The creek is clear and flowing and so refreshing. The access to the water is a bit steep but I took it slow and didn't let the dogs drag me down as they were so excited - so all was good! The site is a slashed area of the paddock. The four sites are well spaced for privacy. My friend came on saturday with her two dogs and there was oodles of room for her tent and my camper trailer. If there were a few shade trees this would be my new number 1 spot for camping. Easy access, 50 minutes from home and very accessible. The neighbour riding around on his quad saturday night/early sunday morning firing a rifle/shot gun spooked the dogs a bit but they soon settled. Really lovely spot - will definitely be coming back.

Camp 4 Bob's Hole
Great to have close to Tville, makes for easy weekend get aways. Creek is nice, but will be more suited during wet season to allow a bit more water. Those with bigger set ups take caution when entering and exiting the property, not quite enough room to get off the road and have gate access to open/shut.
