Great spot, convenient, straight off the highway. Really nice showers & toilets….very clean & tidy. We had a lovely fire 🔥 and there is firewood for sale $10 a bag.
We could hear the trucks on the highway but as I said…very convenient spot, straight off/on the highway

Great Spot
We really loved the close proximity to Townsville, the beautiful grounds that welcomed dogs and campfires. Wayne and Cathy were also very accommodating. The drive through sites were also a plus. We will definitely come again 👍

Book this place. It’s magic!
Wow! This location is absolutely beautiful. With the lake at the front and the mountain behind, there are views in every direction.
There’s a real serenity here that we haven’t experienced in all our travels so far. We felt so at home and could have stayed longer than the week we booked. Both our cat and dog loved the stay too.
Before arriving and settling in, we were worried we’d feel a bit isolated and bored (being 30 mins to Townsville). But this was not the case. Yes we took a day trip to Townsville, which was beautiful, and another trip over to the magnificent Magnetic Island, but we found it hard to drag ourselves away from our little home environment at Mountain View.
We met with the owner Cathy and she came around for a chat most days, which was really lovely. We didn’t use the showers or the kitchen, which were both very clean, but we did get a crate of chopped wood ($10) and collected sticks to make a fire each night in the supplied fire pit at our site.
We stayed in a power and water site and had everything we needed for a really magical time.
Many thanks to Cathy for her kind hospitality and gorgeous holiday park. This is an absolute gem.

What a spot!!
What a spot! We booked last minute (about 20 minutes prior to arrival). The check in was smooth and we had the most magical spot by the water. The kids played all afternoon under the trees and the walk around the lake in the morning was the perfect way to start the day. Highly recommend. Thanks
