Nestled within the Cooloola region within of the Great Sandy National Park, the Noosa Everglades is a spectacular network of pristine waterways and wetlands connecting the Northern Noosa River onto the Sunshine Property. Our property is along side the Noosa River and we are one of only two private owned property's within the Cooloola region. With Kayaking, Camping, Walking tracks and alot more to do! We are home to 1 out of 2 everglades in the whole world!! Noosa Everglades Eco Retreat was founded by Peter and Deborah Gilbert, they stumbled across the property nestled in the Coolola National Park in 1993 and have shared this special location with family and friends over the years. In 2022 they have decided to share the unique property with guest from all around the world. Come and experience The Noosa Everglades, one of only two everglades systems on Earth, is a world of water, wilderness and wonder in the upper reaches of the Noosa River.

Noosa Everglades Camp/Retreat
Amazing caretaker. Great get away.
Facilities are so well maintained. We strictly only ever camp at sites with toilets and showers and in the couple of decades of camping we have NEVER seen such a CLEAN and well maintained toilet or shower. Nick is an amazing human being and deserves all the respect in the world. He gave us tips and helped out with everything. He went out of his way to create a bon fire for the campers which also have us an opportunity to meet and talk with other campers. Will absolutely be coming back again. Thank you for an amazing little get away.

Noosa Everglades Glamping Tent 2
Getaway
Beautiful hidden place tucked away from normal life, it was a decent 30 minute drive into the place, make sure you go the right way when you leave too, as we accidently went down a full 4wd track, thank god we had a 4wd. The place can manage 2wd and awd, i would personally say AWD & 4Wd only. Lovely place to stay, I’ll be back.

Beautiful hidden hideaway
Beautiful spot. Nick the caretaker was awesome. Sent a txt day before arrival on how to get there. A few dirt roads and hills before entering national park. A few potholes at the start and some short sand tracks. The place is well worth the trip out. Grounds and amenities are immaculate. Nick lit a communal fire for guests. River is roughly a 7km return walking only track, with one entrance to river.

Nick was a great host. He came halfway in the forest to receive us becuase we arrived late and it was already pitch dark🤣🤣. The place had good ambience and very peaceful to spend the night.
