Settled in 1866 by Mr. Robert Brown. The land is now used for beef cattle and a small amount of dry land hay production. We have 3 private campsites to offer, all have good distance from each other with no visibility of other camps. Approximately 400m from other sites. We like to camp with room too! All sites are fenced off with a gate to drive in and keep the cattle out. Please select a site for more detailed description on what to expect and the extras it offers. Selecting a site will show more accurate photos of that particular location instead of every photo found here. Pets welcome however must remain on leash or tether *Please notify us if bringing a dog* Please clean up after your dog ready for the next camper. Fires permitted only in fire-rings provided. Check for local fire ban restrictions first. There is plenty of wood lying around for use (bring your axe or saw). Things to do - Send some golf balls into space -The creek is seasonal, only flowing after good rain. It will dry up in some conditions. Swimming in the water holes is ok, please check in the water for depth and sticks -Brisbane river is up the road (10mins) to Savages crossing or Twin Bridges. Fantastic swimming or lazing in the running water. -Push bikes, Brisbane Valley Rail Trail is 5min away if you jump on at Borallon Station Rd. Some cattle tracks for the kids to ride along in the paddock also. -Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports -Wildlife watching, this paddock sustains a large variety of native animals, if you’ve got a keen eye -Bottle Tree pub is just down the road, - bit more than walking distance tho :) -Take it easy.

The Party Hut
The perfect 30th spot
Had my 30th birthday here and it was great!!!! Private and secluded, heaps of trees with plenty of birds to watch…. The creek was muddy but we absolutely loved it and spent hours in it to cool down. The built in covered area provided much needed shade during the day but the trees gave us shade from about 2pm onwards. Would definitely recommend this spot, would have happily stayed for weeks!!!! Cameron was also really helpful with my questions beforehand. Great trip overall! Thanks Cameron :)

Great little spot. Close enough to everything you need, but still nice and private. Falling asleep next to running water was very relaxing and peaceful.

Perfect little get away.
Absolutely fantastic, exactly what I wanted, somewhere quite to get away from the rat race but still not too far away, great spot, awesome bath by the creek. I'll definitely be back. Thanks Guys 👍

The Party Hut
Great pet friendly stay overall
Great camp area that fits 3 caravan’s comfortably. Even came complete with a green tree frog singing in the water tank, a sound I haven’t heard in years and happy to hear! While the site does come with a fantastic shade structure, tables and chairs which were very welcome for respite from the midday heat, I suggest a winter stay as the area does get quite hot without much tree cover. Other than that, it’s a fantastic site that is kept up well and particularly good if you live around Ipswich and want a stay close to home.

We loved the camping spot and had the whole place to ourselves. The sites are a good distance from each other, well grassed and located next to the creek which was running well due to the recent rain. The host Cameron provided excellent communication and instructions and we found him incredibly easy to deal with. Overall a very enjoyable weekend and so conveniently located close to Brisbane for a quick break.
