For those looking to swim or have fresh water close I wouldn’t recommend as the water is low and a bit of a walk from the campsite right now. I did love how flat the area was and you get a lot of space to have quite a few tents ect up. BYO fire wood because you have to pay otherwise and you don’t get much for $20 and it burns fast. Would give it a 5/10 but that only because it didn’t suit my style of camping.

Great site t
Such a relaxing location.
Short walk to the river with beautiful scenery, I was able to take amazing photos. Pop took the grandson fishing, skipped rocks across the water, built a shelter out of flood debris. A couple of horses came for a visit, my grandsons were delighted. We sat around the fire at night watching the stars, picking out the satellites.
Site was clean and spacious.

Gorgeous camp!
This is one of our favourite spots to camp! Close to Townsville, gorgeous bush land and well separated from the second camp! The swimming hole is so peaceful, and the kayaks are always available. Racheal is very accommodating and communicative too. We’ll definitely be back!
