Dutton is a special place it's rich in history . There a lot of people who can trace there ancestors back to dutton . It's the old mahnere were two Lutheran priest who lived in the manse. I herd one was more evangelical the over was traditional. So they would clash because of there differences Cross the rd is the old Lutheran church every fortnight they have a service . The old school is still there and also where the teacher lived. Old cemetery at the back.Self contained campers are welcome to enjoy this piece of history, nestled in the heart of the Barossa Valley.
Dutton is a small township, located approximately six kilometres north of Truro on the Eudunda Road. It was first laid out in 1866 and lots were advertised for sale in the German-language newspaper Südaustralische Zeitung.
The historic former St John's Lutheran Manse and Blacksmith's Shop and Dwelling are listed on the South Australian Heritage Register.
There are dozens of fantastic wineries and restaurants in the area.
The campsite has no facilities, campers must be self contained and leave no trace.
