Pindari Park is a beautiful 130 acre cliff top property that offers both North and South views of the River Murray. Situated on the western bank (cliff side) overlooking the most Northerly point of the river and the township of Cadell SA. Pindari means “From the high ground” from the aboriginal origin and was originally apart of the Nor’ West Bend Station (est. 1850) that stretched from Overland Corner to Burra. The Nor’ West Bend Station next door is now a heritage listed private residence. With Pindari Park’s scattered native trees, saltbush and mallee shrubs bringing an abundance of wildlife to the property, sit back, relax and enjoy the serenity. While you sit at the camps sites, enjoy watching the Cadell Ferry, appreciate birds and wildlife, or just enjoy the river boats on their journey up or down our mighty River Murray. You just might be able to catch one of the cruise boats or paddle steamers cruise past, make sure you give them a wave as they pass by. Pindari Park has many gravel roads and tracks to follow for taking a hike/walk, however, please note that this property is on a cliff, therefore it may not be suitable for young children and caution must be taken at all times. Each campsite has a fire pit area that can be used during May to October each year (fire ban period is November to April each year). If we are fully booked we will open up our cliff top fire pit near the cottage for all to enjoy (Contact Us Prior to booking). During October and November the cottage gardens are open to the public (Contact Us Prior for open days), with over 130 roses, many native trees and other plant varieties, you can wander around the gravel paths of our numerous our garden rooms and the orchard. Take a drive into to Morgan (9 kms) and visit the Old Wharf Port and the Landseers Museum or catch the Cadell Ferry and head across the river to visit the Spook Hill Winery or to use the local boat ramp. Notes: - Cliff-top property, may not be suitable for young children. Caution to be taken at all times. - NO River Access. - NO dumping of rubbish. - NO dumping of toilet waste, nearest dump points are located in Morgan and Cadell. - Pets/Dogs – must be on a lead at all times. - Nearest Boat Ramp – Cadell. - Cadell and Morgan both have fuel distributors and general stores.

Hoad's Haven - Site 3
Peaceful and Majestic
What a majestic and peaceful place to camp!! We had a camper trailer and SUV at Site 3. We had a great view of the river up and downstream and at the same time were sheltered and shaded by the trees and bushes. The pelicans were like a live show and bird life. We even crossed the river on foot via the ferry and walked around the wonderful park. Sue dropped by and we're learnt a lot about her farm and the area. Definitely like to return.

Riverbend - Site 2
Awesome views from the cliff top. We were treated with an amazing storm and beautiful sunsets. Easy to access sites with good distance between them.

Nice spot, would be perfect if it was easier to fish from this spot though.

Not what I expected
My stay at Pindari Park was okay. Sue was very welcoming and gave us good directions to our camp even suggesting we could take any spot as we had the place to ourselves. We chose camp 4 which was very easy to manoeuvre in and out of with our large caravan. It had spectacular views of the Murray but what I didn’t realise when booking, it also had spectacular views of the park/free camp right across the river. This was disappointing as I was hoping for serenity when I booked however the noise level was not too bad but what was really disappointing was at dusk three huge floodlights come on in the park and point right at the cliff we were camped on, I almost felt like we were on stage. They do turn off at about 10:30pm but it was certainly not what I expected.

Unforgettable experience
One of the most beautiful spots we have stayed at. We've been travelling Australia for 4 years full time and this place stole our hearts. From the incredible sunrises and sunsets over the river that we witnessed from our incredible place on top of the cliff, to the adorable goats and their kids. I spent hours with Sue and her beautiful goats. Sue is so knowledgeable and took time out of her day to answer all my questions and let me play and bottle feed the baby goats. The rose gardens are sublime and we literally had the entire place to ourselves. This is in our top 5 places we have stayed in the whole of Australia. So very, very special. Highly recommended

Pender's Park - Site 4
The views over the river are awesome. Camping on top of the cliff with a fire in the evening watching the view change as the sun set was fantastic. Sue is a lovely host who has taken pride in laying out the several hip campsites, there's even a larger area, Fyfes field for larger groups. Great place
