28 gates is a little piece of luxury in Tasmanias Derwent Valley, 1 hours drive West of Hobart. We are on a 5000 acre, family owned property dating back to 1862 being 6th generation farmers. 28 gates was originally a stables and grain lofts built in 1936 then shearers quarters In 2009 we started the transformation to what it is today. It is a 2 level building with a luxurious interior using blackwood and Oak timbers. It sleeps up to 6 guests and has a fully contained kitchen. We are a Private Fishery so you can fish all year round to your hearts content and you do not need a licence. The Lakes are stocked with Wild Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout and Brook Trout. We have guides available for extra tuition, if needed. Come and sit back, take in the natural beauty of this stunning propertyTwo storey, self-contained, luxurious guest house. Our quality accommodation over two floors sleeps up to six people, with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living areas and a fully appointed kitchen, but this is just the beginning… Complimentary still or sparkling wine and handmade treats will be waiting for you upon arrival.
