Conveniently located between Launceston and Devonport, Buckbill Banks Camping offers a beautiful, level camping area overlooking Quamby Brook Creek. The 35-acre property offers views of Quamby Bluff, and various options to explore and relax. Find yourself a nice quiet spot, where you can enjoy peace and quiet. Although we take several bookings at once, you are guaranteed a secluded nook, there is plenty of space. There is a woodfired hot tub beside the creek, which all campers have access to. Imagine star gazing from the hot tub of an evening, or enjoying a morning soak whilst keeping your eyes peeled for the resident platypus in their natural habitat! Firewood is provided for the hot tub, you may buy wood on site for your individual campfires. The hot Tub is not for wild parties, but to relax and view the native wild life, quietly watch the platypus in their natural environment. Please note, we accept one camper trailer/caravan per booking. If you are traveling in a group with multiple caravans, you will need to book multiple sites - but will still be able to camp together. The property has good access for all types of vehicles. The camping area has lush green grass and is bordered by native forest and the creekline. It offers plenty of shade and overlooks the water, which is filled with fish and platypus. Lots of native wildlife and birds can be spotted from your campchair! There is plenty of open space, so although we do accept multiple bookings at once, you'll still be able to find your own peaceful area. We can help guide you on arrival as to the best spot for your particular setup. PLEASE stop at house on the way through to check in, and we can guide you to your spot 🙏 Self-contained campers only please, we kindly ask you to bring your own camp toilet and take all the waste when you go. NO fishing at this spot, sorry, due to the platypus breeding area. . Pls take your own rubbish 🗑 with you! There is no lighting of fires without an enclosed fire pot only (byo). No ground fires permitted. Pet friendly - dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and may walk in the paddocks. Check-in is stricktly between 2pm and 6pm. Please message to arrange other times. Check out is 12pm unless otherwise arranged. Groups need to advise us so we can ensure you are all placed together away from other guests. NOTE: Your $50 per night includes cleaning, filling, and lighting of the hot tub, ensuring its get to temperature and includes all wood required for the heating of the hot tub. Your hot tub experience comes with a hot tub master to ensure it's perfect 👌. NOTE: we are happy to offer a discounted rate for multiple night stays. Just contact us.

Peaceful Escape at Duckbill Banks
Duckbill Banks is the perfect spot for those who appreciate nature and simplicity. The peaceful outlook along the creek made for a truly relaxing escape. The hot tub was a fantastic bonus—nothing beats soaking in warm water while taking in the serene surroundings. Tamika and Bert, the hosts, were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. Tamika suggested a cold plunge in the creek, and the experience didn’t disappoint—it was invigorating and added a fun twist to our stay. We can’t wait to return!

We all had a blast. The kids loved the hot tub and as did we. Tamika asked when we wanted to use it and had it ready. Everything was clean and well maintained. The kids also loved the huge hammock in the trees. Will definitely be going back :)

Wonderful place. Hosts communicated very well. We were lucky enough to have this camp ground to our self. The hot tub was beautiful and the sounds of the river were so lovely to fall asleep too. 10/10 would recommend!
