Stunning, 100 acres where Highland Cows and hand-raised animals roam free amongst all the abundant native wildlife. Immerse yourself in a beautiful natural environment and lovely friendly animals for a unique experience of being involved in helping Ian and Wally look after all the lucky rescue animals at Eventide. All hosted by the down to earth, local owner Ian and his loyal dog, Wally. You are welcome to help feed the baby calves their morning milk, collect the eggs and tidy the chicken coops or just relax and watch all the lucky animals live their best lives on Eventide Sanctuary! 🤠🐮🐑🐄😊

Selection of natural areas.
There are many very cute animals here, and they are very willing to get close to humans. It was a very good experience. If there is a chance, I would like to camp here again.

Choice of amazing areas to camp!
We Love Eventide!!
Eventide Sanctuary is a fantastic spot to camp, just a short drive from Hobart. Camping in the fields with the animals is a fantastic experience for kids, big and small! We especially loved Eddie and donkey and the highland cows! Ian is doing great work, and we highly recommend a stay (or even a farm tour if you can't camp self-sufficently) to support the sanctuary to continue to care for the manangarie.

If you’re looking for a fabulous farm stay experience on a large property, close to beaches, wineries and day trips to Tassies top tourist attractions with the added bonus of a legend camp host then Eventide sanctuary is definitely for you. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Positioned perfectly to watch the full moon rise after setting up in the afternoon sun and woke to a beautiful sunrise. You won’t be disappointed. Thanks Ian and the farm crew for a wonderful camp experience.

This place was so fun to stay at. Petting the calves and seeing the highland cows up close were particular highlights. Ian was a great host and our morning walk on his 100 acres was delightful. Would recommend.
