Prossers Ridge Richmond is 52 acres of rural paradise within close proximity to the heritage town of Richmond. The topography slopes up from the road to a large flat top and is dotted with weathered gum trees. There are sweeping views in all directions, including a view of the sunrise to the east and spectacular sunset views toward Hobart's Kunanyi (Mount Wellington). The property has good access for all vehicles, and there are plenty of flat sites for camping at the top of the property. Some minor leveling may be required in parts for RVs. Plenty of space though to find your own peaceful, private patch. And you're welcome to bring your doggo along too! We can only accept self-contained campers, so you'll need to have your own camp toilet. There is a dump point within 10km, located in Sorell. Situated within the Coal Valley Wine Region and just 30 minutes from Hobart, the property is the perfect location for travelers looking to sample glorious local food and wine, before returning to their picturesque base camp to recharge. Settle in, and experience the local eagles during the day or the Milky Way at night. You're sure to love camping at Prossers Ridge Richmond.Pitch a tent or pull up your campervan upon the top of the ridge, plenty of space and different level areas to choose from. The views from anywhere up here are spectacular.  Please ensure you have a camp toilet with you - we do not provide facilities - just gorgeous scenery, fresh air, and space!  The camping area has good access for all vehicles.  Situated within the Coal Valley Wine Region and just 30 minutes from Hobart, this will be the perfect base camp for travellers looking to sample great local food and wine, and just disconnect from any worries.

Truly lovely spot!
This is such an incredibly beautiful spot. It's really peaceful up on the Ridge. It's clean and neat. We booked an extra day here as we were enjoying it so much. It's really close to Richmond and Hobart is not too far either.

Rural Camping Ridge
First time booking a Hipcamp spot and what a spot it was! This was close to home and was used as a test for our 7m bus. There is ample room, great views, friendly hosts and fire wood by donation. Looks like other amenities going in for tent campers too! We already have interest from friends to go now. Will most likely go back with them at some point. Dont miss this one!

Rural Camping Ridge
We enjoyed our night in our converted Toyota Hilux. The views were magical - rolling hills, a young vineyard and a dam full of water. The fire pit was a bonus. Easy instructions to find the location and we felt safe.
