Prossers Ridge Richmond is 52 acres of rural paradise within close proximity to the heritage town of Richmond. The topography slopes up from the road to a large flat top and is dotted with weathered gum trees. There are sweeping views in all directions, including a view of the sunrise to the east and spectacular sunset views toward Hobart's Kunanyi (Mount Wellington). The property has good access for all vehicles, and there are plenty of flat sites for camping at the top of the property. Some minor leveling may be required in parts for RVs. Plenty of space though to find your own peaceful, private patch. And you're welcome to bring your doggo along too! We can only accept self-contained campers, so you'll need to have your own camp toilet. There is a dump point within 10km, located in Sorell. Situated within the Coal Valley Wine Region and just 30 minutes from Hobart, the property is the perfect location for travelers looking to sample glorious local food and wine, before returning to their picturesque base camp to recharge. Settle in, and experience the local eagles during the day or the Milky Way at night. You're sure to love camping at Prossers Ridge Richmond.Pitch a tent or pull up your campervan upon the top of the ridge, plenty of space and different level areas to choose from. The views from anywhere up here are spectacular.  Please ensure you have a camp toilet with you - we do not provide facilities - just gorgeous scenery, fresh air, and space!  The camping area has good access for all vehicles.  Situated within the Coal Valley Wine Region and just 30 minutes from Hobart, this will be the perfect base camp for travellers looking to sample great local food and wine, and just disconnect from any worries.

Paradise found
When stars and solitude are what you are needing this slice of heaven has it in spades. Campfire on a ridge with 360 degree views of the surrounding valley. An experience that puts life into perspective.

Breathtakingly serene
Camped on the top of a gentle ridge, you have the choice of setting up on the east or west. 270’ views east north and west across the local country side and out to distant mountains are spectacular. There are fire pits and plenty of wood is available. There is a toilet but we were self contained and never actually checked it out. While we were there we watched the sunrise in the east, set in the west, and we even got to see the glowing pink-red Aurora in the south. This is definitely one of the best hip-camp sites!

Amazing campsite
It is very close to Richmond, it is very convenient to go to Hobart y, and it is very quiet and cozy, there are many places to choose camping at the top of the mountain, the scenery at each point is very beautiful, it is very suitable for weekends or weekdays when you have time to come, you can make a fire, there are toilets, water is provided, it is very NATURAL AND PEACEFUL!
