Located opposite a cherry orchard close to supermarkets and food outlets, the property has land for off grid camping and caravans. It's within 20 minutes of Hobart, within 2 km of Bonnorong wild life park and 1 km from motor racing circuit. Close to the picturesque town of Richmond a colonial town established in early 1800s. Dog friendly but must be controlled as we have many native animals such as galahs, native hens, ducks, rosella's, echidnas. We grow our own vegetables, have a vast array of fruit trees and variety of berries and free range eggs. Guest's must have their own toilet and shower facilities on board.Enjoy the peace and quiet nestled amongst native trees and listen to the vast array of lorikeets, cockatoos, kookaburras, Rosellas, and native animals, We have all grass sites available and plenty of space to spread your wings. Fire pits are welcome and we can supply eggs, fresh fruit and vegetables for a small fee. Kids and fur babies are most welcome. Although there is a dam on site please be careful as its not fenced.

Great stay
Rob is just amazing! Super friendly and so very helpful. We’re travelling Australia and stayed here to explore Hobart and it’s a great spot to drive in and out off. You can buy fresh eggs also and they’re delicious. If in season you can get some fresh fruit. Thank you for having us. We really enjoyed our stay and your company.

Central Hipcamp!
Great Hipcamp, such a central location and also close to Hobart CBD. We based ourselves out of here for 1 week and explored a lot of the area, you will be surprised how much is in the surrounding areas to see. Sites are very flat and level, we didn’t need to use our ramps at all. Some road noise during the day but does ease off at night time, didn’t bother us as we were out during the day. Hipcamp felt safe & secure. Hosts are also lovely people and very helpful with local recommendations.

Nice flat area, friendly proprietors and lovely free range eggs. Plenty to see and do - good animal sanctuary nearby.
