Enjoy the comforts of home at some sites—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
The location is central and close to a number of activities and events. The area is known for amazing bushwalking, kayaking and all types of nature based activities. We are also close to annual shows and events such as Taste of Huon and the Cygnet Folk Festival. Lots of local markets, music venues and Farmgate sales, each weekend. Try the delicious local fruit, vegetables and seafood/ meat....add some fresh herbs and seasonal produce from the abundant organic garden. Onsite we have kayaks and bikes for campers to use(deposit required). Located in Ranelagh, 2 mins from Huonville, 45 mins from Hobart, 20 mins from Cygnet, 10 mins from Franklin. Your hosts offer a beautiful paddock and yard in the amazing Huon Valley. We are a small farm with animals and gardens on the edge of residential convenience. Pets are welcome as are campfires in the designated fire pit.

Plenty of Space, access to water and power by booking. Good host, offered to put geese away if we required. Ground reasonably level, nothing a ramp can’t fix. Very quiet spot, good base to explore Huonville.

It was a quiet space in a lovely setting. Rani was very friendly and helpful. Access to water and power was limited but available. We enjoyed making our outdoor fire.

Rani is great but $25 + Hipcamp charges just not worth it With no facilities $15.00 is fair Hipcamp should only charge per booking not no of days as you only provide a simple service for 1 day A lot of people will not even entertain Hipcamp for that reason & I agree I would like to know what extra service you provide for us staying more than one night

Rani’s place is a quiet back paddock in Ranelagh. It’s central for day trips, (Southport, Cockle Creek, Tahune Airwalk and Geeveston + more) and is a 2 minute drive to Huonville. Rani has a camp kitchen with fridge/freezer if required, and she has options for power and a shower. We were well looked after and her communication was excellent.
