Leave the noise of the city behind and travel to Noojee, a town named after the Aboriginal word for contentment or place to rest. Surrounded by lush native bush and towering tree ferns, this picturesque town on the Latrobe River sits on the main access route to the ski fields of Mt Baw Baw and is home to a wide range of heritage and natural attractions. The property consists of 5 acres with a river, so you can set up a tent right next to the river and fish for dinner. The house is about 100 meters away from the camping area, but there are about 1000 Oregon trees that are 50 years old, so you can't see each other well, so you can enjoy nature freely. 4WD is recommended for easy access. We recommend tents/swags. 4WD with Heavy trailer is still very hard to enter when it is wet. Guests will have access to a toilet throughout their stay. There is a communal fire pit available, so guests can enjoy a campfire on the cool evenings. Please abide by any local fire restrictions during your stay. You can walk from my house to Noojee Heritage Centre, Trestle Bridge, Alpine Trout Farm, and Noojee Hotel for a delicious pizza, Cool beer from tool sheed and coffee from red duck cafe. You can drive to Toorongo Falls, Ada Tree in 10 minutes and Baw Baw Ski Resort in 40 minutes.Leave the noise of the city behind and travel to Noojee, a town named after the Aboriginal word for contentment or place to rest. Amazing location, very serene and relaxing. We loved the kimchi pancake we were brought by Seong Hye on our first night. Can’t wait to try again in summer 😊

Noojee dream
We took our van to stay down by the river , it’s a lovely spot very close to town and Noojee pub , the river has fish and cray in the correct season . Cookie the goat is the best host , a very friendly goat that loves a cuddle and your left over veggies. The hosts are gorgeous, we had trouble getting or van out due to unexpected rain they were so accommodating and helpful !

Noojee Riverside Camp
Incredible riverside gem!!
We loved camping on Seong Hye's property, it's in a beautiful spot with the river flowing metres away from the campsite! We all loved meeting the hosts and all the animals they have! Delicious kimchi pancakes as well! Plenty of space so we weren't near other campers, plenty of shade to hide from the weather and a few firepits to stay warm next to! Walking distance to both pubs and to the small bush goods store (firewood, fishing gear etc). I highly recommend this spot it had everything we could ask for! Thanks for having us!
