Granite Hill Basecamp For those seeking a no-frills camping experience this is your go-to spot. Perfect for those craving an escape without the fuss, with nearby Reserves like Bald Hill (walking distance) and Blackhill (5 min drive), plus all that the Macedon Ranges has to offer. It's glamping, minus the glamour. What we offer: - A pitched bell tent. - Freshly made queen bed. - Fire pit - Solar shower (20L bag). - A fireplace (for safety reasons it’s not to be left on while sleeping). Located at the bottom of our family home. It’s far enough away for you to enjoy and take in the serenity. At night you will hear the sound of the frogs and the chirping of the birds in the morning. What surrounds the site: - From your campsite you can walk to Bald Hill reserve which is only a few kilometres away. - A short drive to Black Hill Reserve, a popular spot with Granite boulders to climb. - We're located adjacent the Kyneton golf course and the site backs onto the driving range. - The site is also just a few kilometres drive from Kyneton town where you can enjoy the many cafes and restaurants or the amazing wineries surrounding the area. - On site there is a small dam (very deep, no yabbies seen but probably the odd golf ball or two. The dam is available for a cold water dip or a float if that is more your jam! Which leads into showers & loo. A make shift (nothing fancy) shower is available to rinse and a compostable loo (not for the faint hearted)! Green bags and Mulch is the system that gets put into a garden bin. Otherwise, If you have your own, bring that! For everything else you’ll need to be self-contained. Campers must take out what you bring in. No trace, no waste. Mobile is reliable, though internet will require your own hotspots! Enjoy!Granite Hill Basecamp For those seeking a no-frills experience, Granite Hill Basecamp is your go-to spot. Granite Hill Basecamp Bell Tent.
Everything we needed!
We absolutely loved our stay at 6 Granite lane. Mandy and Dave were so warm and thoughtful and made our stay extra special. The set up was just what we needed - they had thought of everything! Down to a jar of marshmallows for roasting on the fire. The spot itself is super close to Kyneton main shops, but also not too far from Hanging Rock and Castlemaine which was very convenient. We also loved watching the ducks and their ducklings swim across the little damn right next to the bell tent! Thanks again Mandy and Dave, you two were such warm hosts!
