Awesome spot with a great host
Matthew is a fantastic host. Met us at the gate and took us down to the site. It's a long way from the house, it feels like you've got the whole place to yourself. Thanks for having us Matthew, we loved it.

Awesome hideaway location near Lorn
Amazing location only 15 mins to Lorne. Great privacy and a very cute site with a tin roof shelter and fire pit. Matthew the host was very welcoming and had great location knowledge.
Definitely recommend staying here.
We will be back!

Secluded paradise 15mins from Lorne
Nestled amidst the wilderness of the Otways, Erskine Falls Retreat is an absolute hidden gem.
Conveniently located just over 2 hours from Melb and 15 mins from Lorne it offers the best of both words; a secluded setting surrounded by ancient gumtree's and bird noise plus the added convenience of Lorne's town centre only a short drive away (supermarket, cafes and restaurants). We spent mornings and evenings cooking and chilling at the campsite and daytimes surfing and lounging on the beach, we felt safe leaving our items behind.
We booked all three campsites over the Easter break for a large group which included adults and kids under 5yrs, it was perfect! There were lots of nooks for tents to be set up so we weren't on top of each other, the communal area included a huge container of drinking water and a raised fire pit. The dense bushland acted as a natural barrier for kids which meant we didn't have to worry about them running off/ other cars - definitely needed to be snake aware though.
Matt the host was helpful and responsive on texts leading up to the trip we purchased fire wood directly from him as it was really good value and meant we didn't have to bring it with us.
One point to note is that there is a leave no trace toilet policy, not a deal breaker but something to be mindful of particularly with a large group. The closest public toilet is 5mins drive away, plenty of free toilets down on Lorne beach too.
All in all a great trip can't wait to return.
