Galea Ranch
I camped at Galea Ranch for 1 night last weekend. Poured with rain all day and night but I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Wayne and Sharelle are fantastic hosts, so lovely, and go over and above to help you get settled in and make sure you have what you need. Sharelle even made me some scones which made my day! The property is really well maintained and I felt very safe, perfect for solo travelers or a family. The camp site was nice plenty of space and although it was too wet for a fire I liked the fire pits with the park benches set up. The location is great, plenty to explore and I liked how close it was to the Cathedral Range State Park, was definitely worth the visit. The only negative I thought about Galea was that the sites aren’t that private, they are in view of the house. It certainly didn’t bother me though and I’m sure it wouldn’t most but if you’re looking for seclusion this is something to keep in mind. Otherwise, had a great stay, was a great place to unwind and I would definitely consider staying again.

I spent two days at a wonderful spot on a private property. You can set up camp near the trees in the corner, though the front area resembles a backyard. From your campsite, you can see the house, giving it less of a camping expetinace. A short drive will take you to a great fishing spot, and the state forest is just across the road, offering excellent trails for dirt biking. This location is perfect for those looking to hunt or enjoy their first bike rides. However, if you seek a secluded camping experience, this may not be the best choice.

Lovely spot, lovely hosts! Property was super well maintained, great place to camp with everything you need. Cute seating areas at each site around fire pits all surrounded by peaceful bush. Even set the fire up before we arrived, very sweet! Highly recommend!
