ARE YOU FULLY SELF CONTAINED WITH YOUR OWN PORTABLE CHEMICAL TOILET? This could be the place you want to stay. We charge per accommodation type not per site.   We are offering a quiet and peaceful 100 acres for fully self-sufficient campers to relax and enjoy the beautiful bushland and views of the Grampians. ***NOTE: ALL CAMPERS MUST HAVE THEIR OWN PORTABLE TOILET; NO TOILET FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE*** You can wander around and watch the animals, such as Kangaroos and Emus that are on the property. We have sites near a dam with camp fire use in season and shade trees.   We cater for the fully self sufficient campers that have their own, power, water, showers and must have your own portable toilet, this is a must. DOG FriendlyWe are offering a quiet and peaceful 100 acres for fully self-sufficient campers (who have a chemical toilet) to relax and enjoy the beautiful bushland and views of the Grampians. You can wander around and watch the animals, such as Kangaroos and Emus that are on the property. We have sites near a dam with camp fire use in season and shade trees. We ask that you respect other campers and don’t play music continuously or loud also some generators are louder than others so please don’t have them running continuously. Now we are in winter we are not accepting large heavy buses, sorry for any inconvenience You must have a chemical toilet, it is a requirement to stay here that you are a fully self-sufficient camper, this means that you must have your own portable toilet (porta loo, chemical toilet) to camp with us.  Please BYO firewood. Dogs welcome on leash. Price is per accommodation type so you need to book in separately if more than 1 accommodation type ***NOTE: ALL CAMPERS MUST HAVE THEIR OWN PORTABLE CHEMICAL TOILET; NO TOILET FACILITIES ARE AVAILABLE***

Old Man Emu Stay
We had a lovely few days at Old Man Emu. The days were crisp and the starry sky's at night were amazing. we had Kangaroos, Rabbits and some very fluffy sheep wardering past us morning and night and Emu's in the distance. Our dog, Ralph, found them all most amusing. John and Greta were very gracious hosts. Thanks you Robyn & Steve

Wolfo’s in Halls Gap
Fabulous, clean, spacious and well maintained sites. Great spot! We had our dogs and kids, and it was absolutely perfect - far better than staying at the hectic tourist parks. Will be back. Potable water available at the footy oval in town.

Great place. Lovely open well maintained areas for self-sufficient campers. Greta was a friendly host. Camping spots are well dispersed. We enjoyed the views including the dam, Grampians and the wild life. Would highly recommend.

Nature and serenity at its best!
We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect spot to stay for a couple of nights. A very quiet, peaceful and safe camp site. The sites are very spacious, each with a fire pit and the most amazing views. We were fortunate enough to have the right weather conditions to experience an amazing star show! Thank you John and Greta for a lovely stay.

Grampians Old Man Emu Stay
Loved our stay at John & Greta’s and would recommend to anyone that loves camping away from the crowd without facilities. Beautiful, peaceful camp site overlooking the mountains. Emu’s wandering by, amazing bird life, a great place for the kids to run around. Only 5 minutes into Halls Gap and all the amazing area to explore. Such a great weekend we didn’t want to pack up. Can’t wait to book our next trip here.

Absolutely magic spot to stay. Quiet, peaceful. Perfect for kids and pups too. Lovely hosts and great campfire set ups.
